Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4

...the control of Sonic felt slow and heavy. Also the camera is far too close to the action. Playing Sonic 1 again and the speed difference shows easily. Spot on with the camera, way too close even with widescreens. Without the homing attacks it would be virtually impossible to consistently hit bum...

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4

If there`s NO option to turn off the homing attack in full game, then chalk up another 'Fail'.Why are games being 'dumbed' down this way?Everything seems to have to be sign posted, attacks taken care of for you etc.Where`s the fun in that?. Play Sonic 1/2 again just to compare, you`ll notice how mu...

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Sonic feels too...top heavy. Not keen on the cross hair stuff that appears on bumpers, foes etc.The game seems to decide for you that yeah, you`d be wanting to do a homing attack here-Hello? My choice.and 1200MS points? Tad steep for my liking.Having said all that, i`d still prefer future sonics to...

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4

The homing attack ruins it for me, and why does Sonic pop out of his attack ball at the height of a jump - this leaves Sonic wide open for damage and forces the player to use the homing attack, no matter how hard you to try not to use the damn thing.

Re: Amiga emulator for mac

Best idea would to be, is get a windows xp laptop - nothing special hardware or price wise - and run WinUAE on that. Mac versions of emulators tend to be very early versions only supporting the basic functions, even on PC for Amstrad emulators you still need the likes of WinApe & Caprice and their v...

Re: Making games, ever done it discussion

Started making Basic games on the Amstrad CPC before moving onto Amos & Blitz on Amiga then eventually onto PC with Blitz Basic 2D/3D/Max. I do mainly remakes and some original games just for the fun of creating a game were you can be the one that decides what happens in games world, like decide how...

Crime City point & click for Atari ST

More of Amiga guy myself but can the Atari guys here help find a boxed version of "Crime City" on the Atari ST.
The usual ebay etc just finds the PC and Amiga versions. Its a nice little Point & Click detective game.

Re: From the Forum question for issue 82

Every time Mario jumps and heads a block and a coin pops out, still fun after 25 years.
