Re: Issue 211

Is the placement of ads handled separately from content? The placement of “100 games to play before you die” followed a page later by the “Who’s most at risk” ad seems out of place somewhat. Can the virus ad not be dropped? Not really suited for a games mag. Also can Future not replace their ad for ...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 210

Hey Eric, there are potentially things that we could look at in a follow-up to Picture Perfect. What would you be interested in seeing? Probably anything 8-16 bit. Difference’s between regions & revisions. Most famously are Sonic 1’s scrolling clouds and double spike collisions. Crazy copyprotects ...

Re: Screen shots of games looked better in the old days

I do like that the photo the OP posted shows that scanlines weren't really a thing back then, and that their emulation tends to overdo it. They existed, but they were barely perceptible due to the way the CRT would bleed light all over them It depends on the TV really. I had an old trinitron where ...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

Ordering from MFM for me is about 2 weeks which is not too bad considering.

RG is the second biggest selling gaming Future mag, and not far off Playstation for 1st.

Re: Content Guide Retro Gamer (All Issues)

Cheers guys. Switching hosts was a tad problematic with domain & emails being tied to the package. Got there in the end.

I remember Carnival being in the mag but perhaps as part of a bigger feature covering either Arcade classics or a shoot’em-up guide.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

Two covers must be added expense both for time and money for what appears to be a option not wanted. Offering subscribers a selection of the two would again be costly and likely unworkable. Also appears to be that some subscribers would like the retail cover and some non-subscribers want the subs co...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 205

“issues” word has two connected meanings making for a funny wordplay. It refers to physical printed copies of the magazine and to delivery problems arising eg. issue/problem/snag etc.
