Re: Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

From what I remember of the books (which were sequels to the film, not the original book) Deckard does indeed 'grow old' while he preserves Rachel and only lets her out of her sleeping chamber on special occasions (due to her limited lifespan) While an army of Roy Battys are after them. Note - Its b...

Re: The Annual Christmas Film Thread!

Still waiting to watch Christmas Vacation for this year only to find out the missus has already watched while tackling the ironing! Same applies to Gremlins as I thought my 7 year was too young for the film only to find out he's already watched half of it with his mother! Grrrrrrrrrrrr! What's next?...

Re: New Rogue One Trailer

Took my son last week - The first half is a bit of a slog. I appreciate they need to get the characters introduced and so on (especially these are all mostly new characters) and sometimes the multiple story lines technique works well, but in this instance we still learn little about them. It's just ...

Re: Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

[Before Trailer] No, no, no. I adore Blade Runner, it is perfect. Leave it well all alone. The ambiguous ending should be left as is. Ambiguous and open to interpretation. [After Trailer] Hmmmmmm. From the slither of footage we have seen I'm loving the look of the film, its tone, the music and so on...

Re: If Nintendo makes a SNES Classic Mini...

I'd love to see a mini SNES be developed as (IMO) it's one of the best consoles ever made. Here's a few games i'd personally love to see if such a system existed - Unirally Zombies ate my Neighbours The Firemen Rock N Roll Racing Desert Fighter Killer Instinct Sunset Riders Sparkster Flashback Demon...

Re: The Annual Christmas Film Thread!

Here's another film that gets an outing during this time of the year - On Her Majesty's Secret Service! (What do you mean it's not a Christmas film?)
Arguably the best Bond film, yet being a Bond film it has no fans at home...............bar me of course!

Re: The Annual Christmas Film Thread!

I might try her with Gremlins. Not sure if she's old enough at 3, but she adores Labyrinth following a random showing I gave one weekend. She's not quite sure how to deal with scary stuff - she's glued to it, declares she doesn't like it later, but then wants to watch again. Well it was rated 15 wh...

Re: The Annual Christmas Film Thread!

Gremlins. Just Gremlins. I adore Gremlins, from it's tone to it's special effects and it's two fingered salute to 'traditional' Christmas films. The second one is even funnier, 'extracting the urine' from the original. I would love to watch it with my 7 year old as we've been scouring Netfilx and t...

I've always been rubbish at the original Donkey Kong, from the arcade original to various imitators on the 8 bit computers. I cant even get of the first screen in most cases!

Yes, its that time of year again where your allowed to watch Christmas Vacation 2 without people giving you weird looks........ So, what are your favourites? Which ones do you hate? Or do you go all hipster and only watch a film no one else considers a Christmas film? This is the thread for all of t...
