Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Managed to complete my Guitar/DJ Hero collection for my Wii over Christmas. Managed to pick up everything for roughly £30, bar a set of working drums. I was in one of the local cash generator shops not long afterwards only to see a complete set of instruments and Band Hero for the super low price of...

Re: Mouse only games

As someone has already mentioned,my first port of call would be a graphic adventure like Full Throttle or a Tycoon game, especially Rollercoster and Transport Tycoon.

Arkanoid was mouse control on some home systems, as was some shoot em up games in the vein of Operation Wolf.

Re: I wish I had that back

My C16. Not because it's a brilliant machine, or I have a hankering to play on it again, but it was my first computer. And I'd love to have it back. This. So, so this. My first computer, bought as a surprise for Christmas. So many memories. Even though getting games for this great little machine wa...

Re: The great big RG weight loss thread

The scales in the house have broken! Hooray! I tell a lie, the batteries have just run out. Looks like a battery from a motherboard too, so it maybe a little while before I pick up another. I've tried to cut down in general, smaller potions, cupa soup for my lunch and so on. Tried walking during my ...

Things you loved as a kid that you now hate.

Similar to RodimusPrime's original thread but other way round. What couldn't you get enough of in your younger days, that you despise now? The first thing I thought of was school deserts, in particular - Blancmange and Trifle! A school dinner was that much better when you knew blancmange was waiting...

Re: The great big RG weight loss thread

Ok, here goes........ Just weighed myself for the first time since leaving hospital (I got weighed weekly) and genuinely shocked to see 14 Stone and 12 pounds staring back at me! Not good for a short ar$e (5' 8") Like I have said in a previous post, I've never cared for dieting and I was very active...

Re: Whats your "go to" game(s)?

If ever I've got some time to kill and I dont have a new purchace on the go, then I normally pick one of the following - Doom - The PS3 version as its just so easy to jump on the sofa. Guitar Hero - I've got the complete collection for the Wii (cheers Missus) as well as the DJ Hero series. I tend to...

Re: The great big RG weight loss thread

Until my mid 30s I was quite fit. Never watch what I was eating, but did plenty of exercise (never a gym monkey though) just cycling, running, rugby and so on. But between getting older, body struggling to keep up and the op on my knee two years ago which has severely restricted any exercise , the p...

Another vote for Curry here!

Strangely, as a kid I loved curry sauce! Just not the real thing. Mind you I also loved dipping toast in ready brek at that age too so that says a lot!

Re: Old TV shows that no one you talk to remembers.

Here's a few which when mentioned my mates just look dull at me (which have already been mentioned in this thread) Get Stuffed - Students show you how to cook for pennies (did anyone actually try a recipe though?) Vidz (or was its Vids?) - Two men (Scottish/Welsh) review films from their video shop....

Re: Best run and gun game?

I suppose Run and Gun is a tough one as we all have a difference of opinion on what constitutes a run and gun game. For me the first title I thought of was Metal Slug then Mystic Warriors, but isn't that more like Shinobi? Personally I think its closer to Sunset Riders, which the game even reference...
