Re: New Rogue One Trailer

Ip Man Vs. The Empire? Count me in.

The first trailer was good, the second, excellent. Purely based on the trailers for this and the Force Awakens, Rogue One wins.

Re: New competition coming up - Round 2!

First of all, congratulations to the winners of the previous round and thanks again to SScott for such a generous giveaway! For this round I was going on a figure based around James Bond (700) but I'll go with my initial hunch of 1200. Not a clue why that figure popped in there though! Good luck to ...

Re: New competition coming up

I'll take 7lbs on the nose as my sons birth weight (7lbs 3 oz) was taken.

I was trying to tie in the no.7 with some retro goodness but couldn't think of anything!

Re: Best Star Wars game?

After reading the thread title the first game that came to mind was Super Star Wars on the SNES. However after having a think, it would Tie Fighter on the PC. I liked all the games in the X-Wing series, but as they grew in complexity, they became more like flight simulators in space (X-Wing Alliance...

Re: What is the most edited, censored film released

The UK release of Eraser is a lot shorter than the American release, loads cut out of that The UK Video version is indeed a lot shorter compared to the cinema original. Not sure if the DVD version is cut though. The Lethal Weapon films (all of them!) had similar cuts made to the violent scenes, onl...

Re: What is the most edited, censored film released

Seeing those lurid, scary covers in the horror section of my local video shop are still etched in my mind. The skull/pumpkin cover of Halloween II still gives me shivers. Even though I was looking to rent The Muppet Movie, I still couldn't keep my eyes away from those films, wondering about the horr...

Re: New competition coming up

By all means chuck my name in the hat, your last competition was very generous and great fun, even the missus enjoyed the YouTube video. More importantly though, I hope your health improves. I know little of Arthritis bar a work colleague who was riddled and had to emigrate (Spain I believe) where h...

Re: What is the most edited, censored film released

I'm a big fan of the Video Nasty era, even though I was only six at the time! I couldn't tell you if it's the most censored film film out there, but certainly Cannibal Holocaust is the most infamous. Strangely, among a lot of deck on the Nasties list, Cannibal Holocaust is one of the better films on...

Re: Nintendo releasing a new NES !

I like it the look of it and have pre-ordered one with an extra controller. Never owned a NES, but 30 games out of the box (some of which are absolute classics) easy to connect to modern TV's and controllers can be used with the (in demand) Wii. With my son now bitten by the gaming bug it's a no bra...

Re: Guitar Hero Live.

Ive also picked this up today (PS3 version) I've got a complete Guitar Hero collection for the Wii (bar working drums!) but I've been keeping an eye on this new iteration for a little while, so with the new price drop I thought why not! The on disc tracklist doesn't excite me (pi$$ poor compared to ...

Retro Gaming Homework?!

Re: So, I've dug my Commodore C64 out of the attic.....with

I know, I'm kicking myself and I'm tempted to rack down an old friend as between us we had quite the collection of games and formats. But also think its a bit cheeky to catch up with him to track down some gems from 30 or so years ago. I've got Battle Command on cart but no box or instructions sadly.

It is! It's a nice little unit too. I'm no guitar tech, but I like it for what I use it for.

So, I've dug my Commodore C64 out of the attic.....with pics

Hi all, Been meaning to re-visit my childhood for sometime and dig out my C64 from the attic and today I finally got round to doing it! Sadly I haven't had the time to set it up in the games room as I need to make space for it and I'm not sure it will still fire up after 20+ years being boxed away. ...
