Re: Your 3 most prized retro gaming items....

1) My CFW PSP 1000 2) My hard modded Xbox 1 Both the above because they each are loaded with all the emu's and ROMS you could possibly imagine- so I can reach any retro title in an instant, either handheld or on the big telly! 3) I recently found my original Horizons tape for the speccy in a box of ...

Re: Rare items you've lost or sold (and now regret it)

Nothing particularly rare, except 1 speccy tape I know is in the WOS MIA list that I threw away along with ALL my Spectrum games -and 2 spectrums at that, a 48 and a +2. :( Also chucked about 200 2000AD comics away too when I moved house, 1982-1984 complete grrrrrrrrrr And destroyed my Speccy +2 pol...

Re: Doom and other retro shooters.

Don't think Unreal has been mentioned yet? Gameplay is perhaps a bit lacking, but its still fun to play today. Amazing in its day. Glad Rise of the Triad has been mentioned, loved it back in the day - never got past the 3rd episodes robot boss tough Might be a bit too modern but AVP 1&2 on PC are b...

If you can't find it and want it let me know. I can sort you it out.

I didn't either - I'm going to go and compare my album to the Rez disk I have tonight, would be cool if there were even more tracks to be had!

Re: What are you currently playing?

Well I WAS going to start playing Halo 1 on my Xbox, but my DVD Drawer is stuck, so I went and bought Skyrim instead. Never really played RPG's but I loved Dead Island right through to completion, lots of people are drawing comparisons between the 2, so I took the plunge today. Wish me luck out the...

Re: Ideal place in Herts to find Audio bits? Need advice too

Regarding the Antenna - all I've done on my seperates set-up is make my own antenna! All you need is about 6-8 ft of co-axial cable, and a co-axial plug - the type that just screws together, no soldering required (used on Sky boxes and the like) Just strip enough sheath away at one end to get the pl...

Re: Making a MAME cabniet from scratch.

Think the Pi from the sounds of it is way too early yet to use as a MAME machine, hopefully in the future though but i've been keeping a close eye if i can do something similar and the answer seems to be no at the moment. You're quite right - I've just bought a Pi for exactly the same project, a ta...

Re: Minecraft - Pocket Edition on Ipad - WHAT TO DO?

Well if it's like the PC version, you can use your diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian, and you can use the obsidian to build a portal to the Nether. Again though, minecraft is what you make of it. If you've no interest in building things, it's probably a bit pointless. My world now has an underground...

Minecraft - Pocket Edition on Ipad - WHAT TO DO?

Just getting into this over the weekend, and even though it's a MUCH scaled down version of the PC game, I'm hooked. Thing is - I'm not entirely sure that there's a lot to DO - story so far - Survived first few nights, built a little home in base of a hill. Starte mining down fom there, bringing min...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I was a little underwhelmed by Halo 3. Couldn't really put my finger on why specifically, though. It's frankly all about the co-op and higher difficulties. I think the solo campaign was added as an afterthought. Oh, and it had a little thing called Online Multiplayer! I'm still playing Halo 3...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Just finished Uncharted 3 on the PS3. Did not disappoint, I loved the first two immensely. Only criticism is the difficulty - wasn't too taxing at all, just like the first 2, but still a great game to play through. Don't know what to start next - I just got the first 2 HALO's, is the campaign/story ...

Re: Finding Time To Play

I never have enough time to play everything I want to, but it's not due to lack of time - more like an abundance of games! Now my games room is nearly finished, (just got to get a bigger desk that will hold multiple computers) I'm now in the position where it's all got a bit overwhelming - as well a...
