Re: Real Ale Drinkers or Lagerboys?

My local B&M currently have 330ml bottles of Lion Stout for 89p which if you have never heard of it is a Sri Lankan import weighing in at around 7.5%.

It is absolutly superb stuff :D

Re: Losing touch with modern gaming - anyone in this boat?

I can certainly relate to this. Up until a year or so ago I was heavily into gaming and even up until just after Xmas this year I was reviewing games for a website. This came to a bit of a halt last summer really when I started to slow down the amount of gaming I was doing and now I can't really rec...

Re: Real Ale Drinkers or Lagerboys?

Up until about a year ago I was a lager boy with the occasional Guinness thrown in. Then I became introduced to the delights of real ale and have not looked back since!

I still drink lager now and again but am well and truly converted to real ale and am a CAMRA member. :D

Re: Martial art movies

I remember The Last Dragon well, In fact I have the Region 1 DVD sat infront of me now. The write up on the dvd says: Martial arts student Leroy Green (Taimak) is on a quest to obtain the elusive all-powerful force known as "The Glow". Along the way he must battle the evil, self-proclaimed Shogun of...

Re: Martial art movies

As for dated or cheesy stuff - Showdown in Little Tokyo is still a firm favourite - though very dated. Ninja Terminator gets extra credit for being one of the only subbed or dubbed films to make me cry with laughter at the awful quality. Ninja Terminator was indeed awful as were most of the ninja f...

Re: GAME/CeX heads-up.

I bought loads of stuff when Gamestation/Game were having their 'fire sale' before the news of the impending closure. Once they found out they were safe and were giving the extra £10 when trading 3 games I took almost all back to them plus loads of my dust gatherers and made a healthy profit which w...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Really enjoying Everybody's Golf, Rayman and Motorstorm RC in particular, so much so that i've not touched Uncharted as yet. Looking to pick up Unit 13 and Lumines at some point too as these look quality. Wipeout also looks good but i've always struggled with the gameplay in any game from that series.

Re: Stupidest thing you've done thats damaged a game or mach

I once pulled the interface out of my Spectrum 48k+ without turning the machine off to be met with a screen of coloured blocks and pixels and nothing else. Cost me £20-25 to get fixed which was a lot of pocket money for a kid in secondary school in the late 80's....Funny thing is I knew that this ki...

Re: Video nasties!

They showed Bad Taste on tv years ago followed by a doc on the making of that was quite good, I've not seen that on any of the dvd releases though. I have the limited edition region 1 dvd of Bad Taste that has both the film and documentary. It is a fantastic set with great content and superb packag...

Re: Video nasties!

I remember my jaw dropping the first time I watched Brain Dead with the zombie granny falling apart and stomping on the monkey. I actually ordered an uncut copy of Spit on Your Grave from China - wish I hadn't bothered now I've seen it. Braindead was never a 'Video Nasty'. It was one of the earlier...
