Re: Eurocon 2010 - September 3-5

Well let us not forget that the 27th is the monthly games night in the same pub. Money permitting I shall be there Ive been meaning to go to that for years, Sorry to hijack the thread a little bit but what's that night like? How many people attend? what systems are usually present? I'm guessing it ...

Re: Eurocon 2010 - September 3-5

85 sounds like a lot for this pub, it's a far cry from the 11 who attended sega8bit '08, we only used the 'snug' and snug was the right word for it. However it was one of the best events I've ever been to :D

Re: Cd players

My dad had that same system but with twin cd drawers not 6. It was the system I gre up using and making mix tapes with. Lots of good memories seeing it again in your pic :)

My current teac cd player still gets some use but I only own about 20 cd's and I keep them in the car.

Re: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch game recommendations

Monkey Island 2 on the iPad. Can't recommend this enough. The updated graphics are excellent to such a degree that it still feels exactly like the original. I keep flicking the screen back to the old graphics to remind myself that it isn't just the original - my mind playing tricks.

Re: Virtual Panini football sticker album

Anyone collecting the real ones? I still need about 160 and buying more packs is getting silly as 4 out of 5 are going to be swaps. I've gone through all my mates swaps so wondered if anyone here had swaps? PM me if you want to do some deals :)

Re: Sega Master System 2 Won't read cartridges anymore

Also try another Tv, I had a problem with a new tv a couple of years ago that would quite tune to my SMS and looked how you described, worked great on my old CRT though. Also works great on my new LCD it was just the one I had a couple of years ago, bit odd.

Re: Sleep?

I aim for 7 hours but I often struggle to get off to sleep, I have quite a stressful job and end up thinking about it once I get in bed. A whisky or two usually helps send me on my way though.

Re: Flashback

I had this for the cd-I back in the day, I remember liking the look, feel and idea of it but the load times between screens was painful. If it hadn't had that problem I may have had more to say.

Re: Virtual Panini football sticker album

I'm on with the real album now, only bought about 25 packs so far but 2 guys at work are also collecting so that should help me out.

50p for 5 is very steep but it's adding an extra element of fun to the event, plus bringing back some good memories from collecting them as a kid.

Re: Today

Dropped my iPhone for the first time today (had it 6 months), was on my lap when I got out of the car. Just some minor damage to the screen protector so I'll have to get another soon. I've witnessed 2 drop and smash so I'm always extra careful. Had a take away watching the world cup, didn't actually...

Re: Red Dead Redemption

I asked for this for my birthday which is in a couple of weeks, trouble is I really want to try and finish gta episodes from liberty city and I've only just started it. I just hope finishing gta doesn't feel like a job with red dead as the reward. Was really looking forward to playing through gta be...
