Splinter Cell games - Walk around at a dull pace pressing the 'use' key to complete a level. Don't do anything fun. Halo series - Overrated by console-exclusive people who've never played a proper FPS before. I really agree it's like Metal Gear Solid without the fun, beautiful design, and ponderous...

Yes I must admit I had more interest in those games too, Galaga was a particular favourite of mine, the enemies seemed so much more alive to me. That's not to say I hate all Invader games as Space Invaders 95 was a brilliant parody of the entire series.

SPACE INVADERS

I know it's heresy to say it but....... Has to be Space Invaders for me, I know simplicity is good but to play it's boring. It's strange I like almost everything else about the game: Sound - the classic march is so ominous Characters - Well designed and instantly recognisable Decals - Come on the ma...

Thank you all for your help I've got a great start here looking for this console if it exists, either my brain has become obscured by the passing of time or this is something that's really rare. I'll let you know if I dig anything up

Battle Arena Toshinden (Playstation)

Battle Arena Toshinden Has to be said I hate this game with a passion, I think this was the second Playstation game I ever bought. After being wowed by the next gen thrills of Tekken (cost me £50) i saw BAT and thought I'll have more of that how mistaken i was. Gone were the smooth graphics and won...

Mystery SMS

Yes I think it was a Master System machine as Virgin at the time exclusively distributed the console – I don’t think there was a NES in the shop. I seem to remember Shinobi on the console too, interesting that there was a NES demo machine though, I’ll check that out thanks :D

Mystery - Master System Demo Console

I wonder if any of you out there can help me in identifying a mystery console from yesteryear. I remember going to my local Virgin Megastore in Leeds, this must be late eighties to early nineties and seeing a Master System demonstration console in a glass case, it was attached to a monitor and was p...
