Re: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch game recommendations

Cool. Don't want to install iTunes on my main PC but happily have a knackered old laptop with Vista on that will do for that purpose. Right then, iPod Touch reserved at Argos, The Good Revs list of 50 top free games bookmarked (I find that anything the Rev likes I generally do too).

If (big if) I can find it out easily, I'll take some snaps and post them. It's got an orangey-yellowy cover with Reiko on the first IIRC.

Re: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch game recommendations

Pardon my complete naivety but if I buy an iPod Touch is just a question of letting the thing find my wireless router and then following idiot-level instructions?

I gather that this hand-held console of cheap games also plays music but I'm not particularly interested in using it for that. :)

Re: Strategy Guides/Artbooks

I've got a nice Ridge Racer Type 4 book that Future publishing put out at the time of the original UK PAL release of the game. No real info in it but nice coffeetable stuff.

Re: PYJAMARAMA ?

Was it just me that only really bothered with this game because it had the best Speccy version of Space Invaders tucked away inside it? I remember many a time loading this up, going straight to the Space Invaders room and ignoring the rest of the arcade adventure that surrounded it.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Lego Harry Potter on the 360. Glitchy and buggy as hell. Oddly enough the game is much more fun now I've completed the 24 levels and am just exploring to find the stuff you can't access on the first run through.

Was thrashing the French as Wellington when I saw a broken Dutch-Belgian unit in front of my position. Ignored it an...

Re: The Beatles

Well's that a shame because I tried to. I could have said "I dislike the Beatles" and left it at that - which isn't actually true as it happens. I just get annoyed that when I make the effort to articulate my case, I'm just told it's nonsense. I don't feel that points I raised were addressed by you,...

Re: Derren Brown attempts to predict Wednesday's lottery numbers

I watched it on YouTube last night and noticed something interesting with the two cameras The shot cuts away to show him waving at the distant camera. Before this he is being filmed by the camera-man in front of him and the camera is at waist height pointing up. You can see the camera-man in the far...

Can 100 million people wrong really be so wrong?
Because he showed a stunning lack of judgement in being Not Dead. Wait until next time.

Re: Recommend me some sandbox style games for my 360.

If Sid Meier's Pirates! works through the XBox emulation on the 360 then this is a great sandbox game which you can approach from any angle you like - exploration, piracy, trade etc. Difficulty can be tweaked in the middle of the game as well.

Re: Derren Brown attempts to predict Wednesday's lottery numbers

Reading something in The Torygraph a couple of days ago - When the lottery started Paul Daniels wanted to do this trick but the BBC refused to play ball because of the obvious fear that people would believe it was a fix or that the numbers were actually pre-picked and the whole machine/tumbler thing...

Re: Does new technology make you go Wow!!

35 years old so maybe I'm on the cusp of "this is all wrong!" I still do. Maybe easily impressed! I'm still wowed with USB memory sticks for heavens sake. The last generation of consoles hasn't wowed me but colour pics from Mars from the NASA probes didn't just impress me but basically overwhelmed m...
