Re: Gaming detox

I had my television brew up last year and didn't replace it for about six months (never watched TV and refused to spend £400 on something that was just a display for the consoles) but that didn't really count as I still messed about with the DS Lite, online Flash games and a bit of ScummVM on the la...

Forza 3 on 360. As well as this Coin Dozer on the Touch has sunk it's hooks into me and I'm on it every single day trying to get nudge prizes in the right direction. I find it difficult to believe that such a pointless game (a simulator of those coin fountains found by the gamblers in town centre a...

Stuff of Legends is unfortunately the best single source out there even though it is incomplete and some of the scans are reallly poor. Chuck your figures on the scanner and post them and I'll see what I can do from memory.

Re: What games have you given up on recently?

I'm not feeling the enthusiasm to return to Batman Arkham Asylum . I adored the first session I played of it, but since then I've found it all a bit repetitive and drawn out. Get told to go from A to B, get to B for the inevitable conversation that tells you to go to C and C will probably be a room ...

A couple of new findings over the weekend. http://a1.phobos.apple.com/us/r1000/045/Purple/45/5e/f2/mzl.evexjxok.320x480-75.jpg Blimp - The Flying Adventures . I've been playing the free Lite version and this is a wonderful gravity/momentum/thrust game that plays like a mix of Choplifter, C64 Airwolf...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

just completed Monkey Island 2 on PS3. great adventure, but I found some of the puzzles a bit random, i.e. not too clear how I was meant to proceed. That's what guides are for I guess. Finished the 360 XBLA version tonight, that's probably about the 7th or 8th time I'm finished it includi...

Fantasy Zone is one of a very small number of SMS games that I actually enjoy playing. It's a cracking game, easily the best of that small number.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Surprised that a pile of "shrapnel" for which I was expecting about £10-12 for at Gamestation turned out to be worth over £35 credit so effectively had Alan Wake (360), pre-owned Batman Arkham Asylum (360), followed by a mug of tea and a blueberry muffin at Merry Hill food hall for free!

Confession time. I got off the boat in the trial version and couldn't even work out how to jump up that little hill/incline thing. This is about 45 seconds into the game. Pull the boat up onto the bank. Think I tried that actually which just shows my ineptitude at some games. Anyway I've dele...

Re: 35 most boring games

Before I played (and loved) Sega Bass Fishing on the old DC I would never have thought that angling could make a great subject for the videogame treatment.
