Re: virtual jaguarx 1.20

http://www.emuxtras.net/forum/portal.php Amazes me what some of these coders can still do with the original xbox.I have no interest in the jag but still a feat for the xbox even if all games not perfect. I'd seen this before (older version) but, like yourself, had no real interest so never bothered...

Re: Comparison of GTA San Andreas

I always find it weird when people prefer Vice City. Not anything game-wise. It's the music. The first 3 3D GTA games play the same, SA has much more to it, game-wise than the others. But because VC has an 80's soundtrack, it's the better game. I've even heard people say they hate ALL GTA games but ...

Re: CRT TV or LCD plasma?

I have similar tv's Panasonic 42" plasma and a Panasonic 28" crt (not widescreen).
I use the crt mainly for Xbox coinops due to the light gun working with it.
I run almost everything through the plasma. Another xbox/ps2/wii (for the moment) via component, scart for older systems and even my Atari VCS.

Hopefully not. It would be a great shame if the archive was lost.

John Wick 2 - Decent enough if you liked the first one.

Nice use of a VIC20 by the accounts department!

Re: Discuss - 169

The paddle (& driving) controllers for the Atari VCS. Although I had a Kempston & a Quickshot I rarely ever used them. I can't remember any game on the Spectrum that was improved by the use of a joystick over the keyboard. Megadrive pad was good but felt cheap. SNES was better build quality but ergo...

Snooker Simulator (apart from some, specific breaks resetting the Spectrum) was brilliant.

This could be said for the scrolling beat-em-up genre in general though.
Absolutely, there's none that I can think of with any redeeming qualities except maybe The Simpsons at a push.

Re: So, tell me about the original Nintendo Wii......

I've had a Wii for about 5 years and it had about 50 hours of use. I was asked to mod one last week so I gave it a go. A lot of faffing about (compared to the xbox) to get everything setup but it's done now. I've had a quick go on a few games (a lot have been mentioned here) but I probably won't mod...

Some might say it's for the "art-house crowd", AKA pretentious tw@ts.
