Re: Formula 1 2017 thread

Disclaimer: I do not want to see anyone hurt. Wehrlein's crash today was the most dramatic thing about the race, dunno what the speed was but guess it was less than 100 mph (looked about 25!!). He was unhurt but I would have been surprised if he was at that speed. Scott Dixon's crash just now at the...

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread

Motor racing day!! - Monaco GP, I hate this race, it's all hype and money but very little action, glad Lewis got some points. - Currently watching Weekend of a Champion, have never heard of this before but I love 1970s F1 and it's a fascinating. It was on Channel 4 this morning so may be on catch up...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

When an interviewer asks "Can you put this into words?...." - would be an effing dull interview if they are unable to  When people say "I've got no words...." - and then carry on talking - so you do have words then  When people say "words can't describe...." - that's exactly what they ca...

Watched Blue Collar, for at least the 10th time tonight!!

Easily in my top 10 of all time - Richard Prior, Harvey Keitel, Yaphet Kotto - witten and directed by Paul Schrader.

Did not realise the actor Powers Boothe died a few days ago.

One of those actors you forgot he was in so much stuff. One of my favourite films he was in was Tombstone.
He was brilliant in deadwood. really enjoyed that series.
Love Deadwood, shame it got cancelled

He ended up 7th and in the super shoot-out Sunday afternoon! Not bad going... Nasty crash for Sebastien Bourdais as he suffered "multiple fractures to his pelvis and a fracture to his right hip" and is undergoing surgery. Hut the wall with an almighty bang at over 200mph  Ouch, went to bed a...

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread

Currently watching the Spanish rookie go 3rd quickest in the first qualifying session of the Indy 500.

Pretty amazing for a first ever attempt. I wonder, what are the chances of him walking from McLaren and joining IndyCar before Canada??

  Well I got Eloise by Barry Ryan correct & that was released in 1968. Also, there was a question about Moses & I'm pretty sure the girl who answered it correctly wasnt 4,000 years old. Ha ha, I knew the answer to that one because of The Damned, never heard of Barry Ryan!! Did you ...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I'm going to be on the tele today. Fifteen to One at 3pm, Channel 4. (4pm on 4+1) When people (especially those in their 20s) on general knowledge TV quiz shows say smugly "well, that's before my time" when they don't know the answer.  On the episode you were on, I got the "1899 London...

I've been moaning about this, along with paper quality for ages. I understand that the RG team are not responsible for printing but surely you can't be happy to have all of your hard work writing words and creating artwork ruined by shoddy printing?

Resident Evil 4, brilliant fun using the wii remote to aim your guns - honestly worth it for that alone IMO

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread

The race had better be good tomorrow as today I have watched far to much open wheel racing and am almost sick of it:

- F1 qualifying
- Formula 2 feature race
- GP3 race 1
- Formula E race, Monaco
- IndyCar race, GP of Indianapolis
