Re: PS4 hard drive upgrade problems

Fixed

Silly me. I was downloading the 'Update' when it should have been the System Firmware download. Got it sorted now. A nice 2TB hard drive in there. Now I've got an issue with a slow download of Battlefield 4 aaagh!

PS4 hard drive upgrade problems

Hi, Right, I tried to upgrade my PS4 hard drive, it was an epic failure. The PlayStation Support guy says there must be a fault with my console and I either need to send it in for repair, or see if the shop will exchange it. The console was purchased in Game (UK). Here is what I did and tried to do....

Re: What are you currently playing?

6 was a little bland for me, but 5 is IMO a superb game, I enjoyed it so much that I played through and completed it 3 times. a terribly under appreciated game. I loved 5 was well. I remember playing it though 3 or four times as well. Some of my guns had unlimited ammo after finishing the games so ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Had a big MAME gaming session on Monday. Played a fair bit of the likes of Gauntlet, Outrun, Galaga, Time Pilot and Operation Wolf. I must have a different ROM set for OP Wolf that I had before as this one is a lot harder and I was get intercepted between levels, which I don't remember from the UK a...

Re: Best PS2 games to play via PCSX2 emulator

I'm running PCSX2 on a FX8350, 8GB RAM, GTX970 4GB and Windows 10. You probably could run it on a old Core 2 Duo, but with no up-scaling. It wouldn't look very nice though. Most of the video's about PCSX2 on YouTube were done using Corei5 and i7's, mine is an equivalent of a middle to lower end Core...

Best PS2 games to play via PCSX2 emulator

Hi, I've recently started playing around with PlayStation 2 emulation and I was wondering, what do you think are best games to try out with this? First things first, I'm not into playing PS2 fps games really, I just don't think they've aged too well. I'm more interested in Arcade type games. So Far ...

Re: E3 2016

Hey guys! I've not been on this here forum for quite some time (I've still been buying the mag or course). Anyway, the way consoles are released looks like it's going to change radically. Will we ever see a fourth Xbox or a fifth PlayStation? Looks to me like consoles are heading in the direction of...

Re: Fallout 4

Is anyone else annoyed that you can't see your reflection in mirrors, flush toilets or turn showers on? Not sure I've come across any mirrors yet, other than the initial one. In fallout 3 you could drink from sinks - and toilets - but you never actually saw yourself do it. It was a daft game mechan...

Re: Fallout 4

Very impressed so far. There has been some negativity on some gaming sites concerning the graphics, some people going as far as to call them 'ugly' or hideous', honestly, I think they look great. The graphics aren't amazing or anything like that, but they certainly aren't last generation. I'm totall...

Re: Shortest amount of time you owned a game or console

Most of my systems I've kept for years. I can only think of two machines I owned for really short time. First one was the original PlayStation, which I had for about 10 months. I loved owning it, it was just that come summer 1999 I bought a more powerful PII based PC, which in comparison, my poor PS...

Your game hypes?

At the moment I'm really looking forward to Fallout 4 and I mean really, really looking forward to it. I'm so hyped for this game, that if it was possible, I would happily step in to a Cryo-Stasis chamber and be put into suspended animation until 10 November. Okay, maybe that's going a little too fa...

Re: Anyone got an SSD drive in their PC?

I put my new 250GB SSD in yesterday and did a fresh install of Windows 10 from disk. The install was super quick and now my boot time is seconds now. I seriously recommend one if you haven't got one already, awesome stuff. Using the SSD for Windows and my 2TB WD drive for games.

Re: Anyone got an SSD drive in their PC?

Was thinking about it when we upgraded the main PC, but in the end it felt safer to go with a standard hard drive. I think for a main PC, it makes sense to go for the cheaper but much larger capacity drives. For laptops there are some positives for it though (including physical size as well). Only ...
