Be wary you can't buy RA3 on PC though, only rent it. You can't reinstall it without EA's say so, when they turn off those servers you're screwed. Yep, don't you just love DRM? Still, at least they gave the original C&C away when it was ten years old. Perhaps they can continue to support the ...

Two Horace games have been entered in the comp.sys.sinclair crap games competition over the years and you can find them here:

I don't think either will need to be added to the voting though.

I'll go for Horace and the Spiders. Horace Goes Skiing isn't bad though, and Hungry Horace would be OK if it wasn't for the rather poor maze designs.

The ZX81 would be my main other one. It might have been the most minimalist of all 8-bits, but it had some superb and imaginative games and also a nice version of BASIC for its time. I've also a bit of a thing for the BBC Micro; I never owned one, but I got to use them a lot at school and my mother,...

I got past the wall on Airwolf once If its the one I'm thinking of, its quite easy to get past - you just need to fly right through as soon as you get onto the screen. The wall starts to build as soon as the screen displays, but there's just enough time to sneak through without trying to shoot it a...

I mostly use Spin too.

That said Fuse, EightyOne, Spectaculator and SpecEmu are all really good as well. So, if anything even mildly irritates you about Spin, they're worth a look.

I'll second that, and yes I'd already thought of it before I read your post.

Carrier Command on the C64 reinterpreted the game in 2D. I've not played it, but apparently it still worked quite well. I suppose it's OK for what it is, and the strategic aspects are recognizably similar, but they basically turned a 3D simulator into a 2D scrolling shoot 'em up. It's like calling ...

I guess Jon Gaunt just picked the wrong person to call a Nazi.

TalkBollocks would be a better name for that channel on the whole though.

So if you can't prove your argument in debate?.....throw a hissy fit and get em sacked. Interesting that he referred to the guy as a 'Health Nazi' which would imply that Gaunt thought the guy was someone with totalitarian views on the subject who would seek to eliminate anyone who disagrees with hi...

I have a sealed copy of Tempest 2000 somewhere, but that's only because I have a loose Tempest 2000 cart rattling around as well. I wonder whether there's actually a Rick Astley CD in there  The slightest possibility that a Rick Astley CD might be in there sounds like a good argument for leavi...

It's curious but as soon as the word isometric was mentioned I was thinking of the usual culprits, Knightlore , Alien 8 , Head Over Heels , Batman , Sweevo's World etc. but a look at the wikipedia list shows that isometric isn't just an 80s thing - so I'm astounding myself by declaring for Age of E...
