The Thing I reckon. I also loved the game.

8ft of 1980's Computer Mags for free!

Have put this up for a local forum user. He has literally 8ft of computer magazines from the 80's to early 90's that he needs to get rid of. He is located on the Wirral, and you can pick out whatever you want. Free to a good home (others will be considered!), a large quantity of computer magazines, ...

Re: Gunstar Heroes got a shocking 37% in PSM3!

I haven't read a computer game mag for years, but I picked up Official PS magazine and found they had given every game at least 85%! How can this be?!

Recreating old games - licencing?

Me and a colleague are looking to create two old 8bit games for the IPhone. These games are nearly approaching 25 years now, and I'm wondering what's the deal on licencing or some kind of royalty system? Are there any games out there that have been redone and there's no deal with paying the original...

Re: Minecraft?

At the moment it's just something to tinker about with. It has basic physics at the moment. There's lava/magma underground if you dig deep enough. The water flows through crevices, etc. vegetation dies in shade. Every game I've played has had a load of people working on the same object. You tend to ...

Minecraft?

Anyone had a go of this??? Basically, think multiplayer Lego. It's very simple but spent a couple of hours playing it. You'll either like it or hate it. PSP Go! revealed (allegedly) with pics!

http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/p ... es-/823691

I played my PSP for a few hours on Locoroco, but can't see any point in any other games, it had so much potential that was wasted.

I love the recent XBox 360 Sega Rally. I bought it for 10 quid and really enjoyed it's simplicity.

On the subject of Virus, did anyone play it and see a huge fish floating in the water? I saw it once and never saw it again!

Anyone play 'Conqueror' on the Atari ST?

It was sorta like Virus, but in tank form. It was another game on a Medway Boys disk that I stumbled on, but thought it was awesome! Movement and turret had different controls and you drove across detailed, full 3D countryside. http://www.mobygames.com/game/atari-st/conqueror/screenshots http://www....

Re: Race Driver: GRID Shameless promoting

I used to play Nurburgring (in an Escort Cosworth) using one of these:

It was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, I bought it off a workmate for 100 quid. Unfortunately, it broke a couple of days after and I never played it since. :(

Re: MAME arcade machines

Rear arches look fine. I bought it for 250 quid for the engine as it had front corner bump (very light). The car was too good so I bought a new bumper/bonnet/etc and drove it for a few months. The lad I bought it off wants it back as he misses it. :) They're awesome cars to drive. It's a tbar. http:...

I'm supposedly maybe swapping this for a mk1 MR2. I just don't want to be lumbered with something I can't sell and totally regret it.

Re: Your top Movie soundtracks

I only really like movie soundtracks that are done with an orchestra. It's a sad sign of the times when it has a pop music soundtrack. Herman Stein and Bernard Herrmann are good, they used a full orchestra and in the case of Herrmann's music on Hitchcock films, the film edit was set around the sound...
