Re: Amiga 1200 fans!

I backed up all my Amiga floppy discs on my PC (using the two floppy drives trick) into ADFs. It was great seeing all my old work again. My ma then binned all the floppy discs because they were stored in the loft. And then my hard drive corrupted. The fact that all my work from 1990 - 1994 is gone f...

Re: Public domain music

I've been looking for a demo that was called 'Tab Demo', which had graffiti all the way through, and the usual spline effects, I can't find it!

Re: "But mum, it'll help me with my homework!"

Oh yeah, was going to say '7600' games, but the chances of something as horrific as that make me feel a bit sick. Can you imagine the quality?!

And just for the hell of it, because it looks nice:

Re: "But mum, it'll help me with my homework!"

Think the 7600 on the cartridge might point to Atari family?

Re: Dom Diamond interviewed

I lost respect for Dominic Diamond when he did that program on being crucified with full intention of doing it, and then bottled out right at the end.

Midwinter

This, along with the sequel is in my top 10 games of all time. I just liked the atmosphere, and have not played it since so as not to ruin my memories ... ah. But anyway, I have a vague memory of being able to travel by cable car in the game? Am I imagining this? I felt it was so atmospheric and wou...

Re: Good 2-player games on the Wii?

Going to try some of the 'light' games there. How about Raving Rabbits?
I do wish someone would produce a really solid 2 player game on this that is a bit more than the standard fare.

Re: Games you physically destroyed

My Amstrad 464 had the keyboard punched so many times, the middle dipped about an inch lower.

Probably the biggest thing I've done in the US was launching IGN.com.
Don't be so modest! He joined them as editorial.

Good 2-player games on the Wii?

Finally got round to buying a second remote for the Wii! Having played the "Wii Play" game which was a bit short (although the table hockey thing was very entertaining), I'm after some more that are GOOD. Ta!

Re: Uncharted 2 (possible spoilers)

What game is it? I've seen Uncharted cheap. I'm looking for something interesting!! Can anyone give me a rundown?

DYK Connie Booth (of Fawlty Towers fame etc) worked as producer for Naughty Dog (the developers of this game?).

Re: Games you physically destroyed

Taken many discs out and launched them at the wall. It really is nothing to get concerned about, it's not like burning a book (unless it's Jordan's new biography).

Re: Things changed over the last 20 years

I'd swap everything for the simplicity of the 80's. I listen to tapes now on my 1980's Blaupunkt (without millions of flashing LEDs) in my 1981 car. I no longer watch anything on my recently bought 52" plasma TV, because it's all censored, bought mainly for HD on XBox and PS3, which I no longer use ...
