Animated film about an evil wizard ???

I remember this used to be on quite a bit, I've seen it a few times anyway. It's animated, from the 70's (or a bit later), and the animation is fairly basic compared to Disney for example, but it is about as epic as a Disney film. The wizard gets an apprentice, and the apprentice manages to peek int...

Re: Kinect will launch with these 19 games :(

I think one IR remote controller system is enough. The only relief I get from the XBox and PS3 is at least you can use a standard controller. I've lost interest in new games because they now seem to be firmly placed in 'family entertainment' territory, which isn't a bad thing at all for sales (which...

Best possible game remakes?

I'm currently, but very slowly, working on an upgraded version of Colony and Feud. I was hoping at some point to release on XBox Arcade or something (once all the licensing stuff is cleared etc). I've always wanted to rework these games, as I remember they were quirky and original, I hated shoot em ...

Re: Found the Amiga tune I was looking for...

I had one that has no real description, it was on a PD disc of five or so modules for the Amiga! :(
I wrote a few modules in TCB Tracker that were in PD.

Think I used it once, and it failed miserably. The only thing that starts and ends on the dot is the news!

Re: Audio Cassettes

I've still got a Blaupunkt tape machine in my car. I seem to remember appreciating taped copies of music better as it was such a pain to rewind to listen to the song again. I'd love to use tapes again, think I might order some from Argos. I'm definitely going to whip out my minidisc car stereo at so...

Re: Quantum Leap re-runs starting this week on ITV4

The one I remember well was when he was in Vietnam and became a lucky solider who could sniff out mines (but it was Al telling him where all the mines where). He was alongside his brother who died in the war, and then the one after it, he became his brother, or something. Quantum Leap was quality.

Re: Sony Minidisc

I got one of these in my car in 2002, complete with Sony 10 CD changer: http://imgur.com/dyOtX.jpg I was going to buy a minidisc recorder some time after, but I never did. I don't think it ever played a minidisc - will keep hold of it though as a future 'curiosity'. It even had the Sony 'Commander' ...

Re: Box Art

This is far from my favourite, but ... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/97/Eurofighter_Typhoon_Coverart.png The cover for this was originally done really well by an artist working for DID, but then the publisher decided to do their own version. It's not even the plane that's used in the ga...

Ground Zero (Tynesoft/CPC)

Did anyone play this game on the CPC? http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Ground_Zero http://imgur.com/tiwfT.png I played it again today for the first time in about 22 years (  :o :o ). It came on a compilation tape, along with Articsoft's Paws and another rugby game I can't remember. It wa...

I stand corrected, it was 1978 F.I.S.T. with Stallone. :)

Re: My old CPC 6128 with green monitor.

Joystick looks like standard 9 pin D-plug?

I still have my 464 with green screen! Power supply thing was a stroke of space saving genius!
My keyboard is U-shaped from pummelling it with my fist everytime I lost a game.
