Re: Franchises everyone loves but you hate.

90% of Japanese games.
RPGs? Boring, pointless. Resident Evil? The same. I like MGS series though.

Re: Watchmen

Cool, I'll read the 'book'. Don't want to go out and buy it now, because of the popularity! It certainly looks interesting though, I like the characters.

Re: Watchmen

Am I the only one who doesn't have a clue what this movie is about? I like the idea of a scientist turning into some blue dude and then calling himself Dr Manhattan, but I generally hate superheroes, it's totally out of date with society and what is on offer today (in my opinion - I prefer zombies)....

Re: Change for Life Ad- Sony considering legal action.

I agree.

Isn't that a knock off controller. Sony's lawyers need to get off their high horses. Corporate lawyers need to be taken down a peg, there's more important things.

Re: Music you secretly LOVE!

Actually just seeing it on the topic board just reminded me that I downloaded a lot of the 40`s music that is used in Fallout 3. Some great happy tunes in there! There's a song I heard in there I want, it's playing on the radio when you have the bloke guarding the road that is covered in mines. I r...

Another game I love is Battlefield 2. That's full of bugs and annoyances that need fixing, but they just couldn't be bothered. Only encountered 3 crashes on my Xbox. :)

Re: Fallout 3

I can't understand why people keep saying this game is hard. You can run away! Which I did many times and then returned later (probably from a different direction) and blew their brains out with my first shot! I'm going to rent this game again from Blockbuster tommorow night. I got up to level 10 af...

1 - Galaxy Force 2 arcade - I liked the little jazzy number that came with the game over

70's/80's 'real film footage' driving game?

I remember this was in an arcade in Blackpool during the 80's. It was a sit down cabinet with L/H gears and a steering wheel. It was basically a film running from the perspective of a car driver and the steering basically moved the view of the movie around. It was great in my young mind for one go. ...

Re: Most atmospheric game?

I played It Came From The Desert to death. I loved and still do that 50's era of monster/paranoia/space age nostalgia, and this really appealed to me. The music and artwork and the whole scope of the characters and being in the right place at the right time. This deserves a remake and if I could pro...

For that money, I'd expect it to be 'unopened'. It has been opened though. And I'd expect it to be solid gold. It's just not worth that money.

Re: What burns your flame about games?

Halo really gets my goat, it introduced nothing new but it's fan boys run around yelling and screaming about how great it is. I had an argument with one where I pointed out that Duke Nukem 3d added more to today’s FPS games then Halo ever has or will, he didn't even know who Duke Nukem was, I almos...

Re: What burns your flame about games?

I think the near complete step towards catering 100% for casual gamers is making me want to play new games less and less.
I also hate EA.

Re: Hardest game you've played recently

I don't understand how anyone could find fallout 3 too difficult. I found myself turning the difficulty up to hard as i found it was a bit on the easy side. I agree. You can actually run away from situations. I found leaving the vault to be one of the best experiences in a game I've had. I also saw...
