Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

I've always loved seeing photos/videos (thanks YouTube) of large collections of games - it's a combination of childhood nostaliga and envy yet sprinkled with an extremely large dose of optimism that I too will eventually have a collection to be proud of.

PS3 activating/deactivating DLC question

So it's just occurred to me that i'm barely playing on the PS3 but before I make the decision of whether to sell it or keep it I have a question on DLC that even a quick scoot on Google couldn't help me out with (I really should look for longer than 10 seconds). All the DLC i've accumulated (Games, ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Just come away with that lovely nostalgic feeling after having a go on Final Fight (Atari ST). For about 1 hour it was 1991 all over again.......

Give them credit - the Megadrive did well in the States. Although in saying that they had to go and call it something else just to be different.......

Re: Atari Jaguar Recomendations

I picked up an Atari Jaguar some years ago with a stack of games but the only one that I even came anywhere remotely close to enjoying was Alien Vs Predator and even then it was only alright . I really didn't like the controllers - big, bulky and totally unnecessary. In saying that i'll pick one up ...

Re: 360 really is rubbish.

Well it is a poor show, no doubt. I always find it odd to hear of failing 360's yet all of my old machines still work - i'm talking Amstrad CPC, ST, Amiga, SNES (etc) - and they have all had extremely heavy rotation over the years. I'm now on my third 360 although only the first (circa 2006) had the...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Bearing in mind how easy it was to achieve all of the trophies I almost feel embarrassed to say that the latest game i've completed is Battlefield 1943 on the PS3.

Re: 30 Greatest 16-Bit Games

EHIS is great , but more suited to 8bits imho, it certainly didnt translate as well to bit As for Kick Off 2 - it took an age to master - Sensi was more immeadately playable , but long term nothing can match Dino's magnus opus I take your point on EHIS as the Amstrad version was and still is a joy....

Re: 30 Greatest 16-Bit Games

I notice Sensible Soccer has been nominated and rightly so but I also think Kick Off 2 always tends to be criminally overlooked. Admittedly it had a pretty steep learning curve but once mastered offers far more depth than any other 16 bit football game out there. Another enjoyable football game (alb...

Re: How do you keep track of your collection

A good point well made. It never ceases to amaze me how often i'll pick up a game only to discover later on that day that I actually already had it.
