Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

$10 for Rogue Squadron, Rebel Strike & Bounty Hunter all on the Gamecube. Hardly old skool in the scheme of all things retro but they had been on my wanted listed for a while.

Julian Rignall and Dave Perry would make an interesting read - as would Dino Dini although these days he seems quite content strumming on his acoustic guitar in pubs and clubs up and down the land.

I plumped for the Amstrad CPC 6128 - or at least my dad did. It would have been late 85' or 86' and I remember seeing it on display in a computer shop (funnily enough). I thought the graphics blew the Spectrum and C64 out of the water so it was an easy decision for us. Suffice to say that just a few...

Were you stupid enough to be sucked into buying a GX4000 at the turn of the 90's?

Perhaps it was too forward thinking for it's time and that's why it folded within a year. I'd agree with the original p...

It's a bit cliché but I remember being captivated when watching the older kids playing the likes of Defender and Galaxian in our local chippy. But it wasn't until I owned my own computer (Amstrad CPC 6128) in 1985 that I started to get into video games - Games such as Druid, Who Dares Wins II, Thre...
