Re: PSX /PS2 budget labels

Surely Silent Bomber is a Konami game?

EDIT: Nope, I'm wrong. Bandai. Could have sworn it was a Konami effort.

Wouldn't we all? Having some of their best fighters easily accessible on my console of choice with excellent online support is not to be sniffed at though.

Re: No more updated versions of Capcom fighters

You have to remember the only way you could play that game online up to that point was on GGPO which, although great, isn't always the most elegant/smoothest way of executing it. Actually, your forgetting the street fighter anniversary edition for the original xbox, which was bundled with third str...

Re: No more updated versions of Capcom fighters

Although tbf, the Capcom port also uses GGPO and it still isn't the smoothest experience. With a good connection it's ace, but the rollbacks aren't great otherwise. I wish they'd used the same netcode they use for SFIV/MvC3. For me, 1200 points is a steal for something like Third Strike but I guess ...

Re: No more updated versions of Capcom fighters

All the digital Capcom fighters have been discounted. Pay attention and you could have bought all of them bar DS for half price before now. I can't see what bearing a discounted retail game has on the matter. You can buy FIFA 09 for 99p. Should all games cost 99p? Capcom cum-guzzler? haha. Grow up eh?

Re: No more updated versions of Capcom fighters

Jojo's, yes, but I think Capcom counted on that selling big in Japan where Jojo's is big news. Silly, I admit. 1200 for TS or DS isn't much of a stretch though IMO.

Re: No more updated versions of Capcom fighters

in other words people are getting tired of having to pay top money for the same old crap being trotted out ? Yes people are tired of being able to play online versions of some of the best fighting games ever created like Third Strike on current hardware which sits in their living rooms connected to...

Yep, Combat was included in the box. Excellent multi-player fun, it was the Wii Sports of its day.

The games listed in the OP still do it for me except Gauntlet which I find achingly dull these days.

Re: Japanese and US PlayStation games thread.

Gekibo Boy got a PS1 rerelease in Japan as a Simple Series game. It's basically the PCE original but also has a co-op mode so that's an option if you don't want to buy a PC Engine. I completed the PC Engine version recently and I'm halfway through the PS2 version. The PS2 version can be slightly con...
