Going off topic a little, but there have been times in the past where I've played various computer games while listening to "proper" music (dunno if anyone else does that...) Because you are not really paying attention to the music, you tend to listen to the same CD over and over on an almost sublim...

Balamb Garden theme from FFVIII. It's like I actually went to that school... it makes me feel nostalgic, not for the game, but for the actual place as if I had really been there... ... which is worrying! God, the game's not even that old anyway. But mostly it's those little things that never go away...

Here are my opinions: A) I too had never heard of this myth, until recently - so feel free to shoot me down if you are that way inclined. B) When I read between the lines of this thread I see this: -Story about how I was involved in the company behind Polybius... yadda yadda... -What was the game li...

Good choice.
I seem to remember it being great fun in two player mode.

Re:

I love FMV, I even started a topic on it, but I only like live action FMV. I actually think the Computer Generated (CG) FMV in the FF games is... well, a bit crap. Live Action FMV on the other hand, now that is awesome, and you can never have too much if you ask me. I can't really answer your poll,...

Re:

Stop having a go at the bloke running the poll I agree. I think he should have made it clearer in the initial post that he didn't pick the games, the users of these boards nominated them! I don't agree on GT and some of the other choices being there - but that's the fun of this poll. Some people ha...

After the feature in the latest RG, I've been playing Cyril Cogordan's port of Another World on my GBA.
It's been a while, I'd forgotten how to clear some parts.
Tricky on a small screen, but fun nonetheless.

Is there a place for FMV...?

Kind of inspired by a comment made in another thread about the ammount of FMV in Final Fantasy VII... Has the introduction of FMV been a good or bad thing for gamers? Do you feel that the games industry is more concerned with slick presentation than the actual concepts and games themselves these day...

Well, I really like GT. It has a fairly simple appeal for me, I don't really care whether it does what it says on the tin or not - win a competition; get money; tweak your car; win a tougher competition; get money; buy better car; win competition; tweak your car... and so on. I thought that aspect o...

Re:

Tenchu I played this game for the first time a year or two ago using the original digital pad. It's one of those games which clicks after a while adjusting and dieing :P But by god, what a compelling game when it does. The lure to go back to the level and achieve the top rank was insaistable. Perfe...

So I'm going to vote Halo, Doom and Half Life as the worst games ever[...] Halo?  Doom??   Half-Life??? This must be a bad joke. As much as I adore retro gaming, I think especially HALF-LIFE is a great game with a brilliant sequel. Kind of a joke, yeah. ...

Re:

If we are doing worst type of game then my vote goes to all First Person Shooters. Hooray! Thank God it's not just me then. Not only are they uniformly drab, but they are also lauded way above their worth... So I'm going to vote Halo, Doom and Half Life as the worst games ever, knowing full well th...
