I'd have to go with Batman, if only because of the trio of excellent games on the Speccy. Didn't Crash give them all exactly the same score? Can't fault 'em for that - three very different games, all equally enjoyable. Ocean were just so slick during that period. And, although there have been some d...

Can I vote for Dragon's Lair (Arcade) http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/games/pages/images/dl/pic04.jpg It was a ground breaking arcade machine. It looks amazing. It sounds amazing. It made $32m in it's first 8 months. It cost 50p a go (which equates to 50p per 30secs) And it was a bloody nightma...

Definitely. I've had my Gameboy Advance loaded with NES roms for ages, and I've only really played half of th...

Yeah, I think that's a point that sometimes gets neglected - pretty much all of the FF games have a way around the random battles. Okay, sometimes you have to go through a lot of random battles to discover it, but you are by no means tied to them for the entire game. The way I see it, there will alw...

Re: Repton Remake

Back in the good old days of Computer Technology lessons at school, this was the game that we used to play instead of doing any actual work! :D Heh - same here. It was either that, Xor or Battle Chess, tucked away in the corner of out maths room that ate up me and my mates' time. Repton was the bes...

I seem to recall they insisted on referring to it as "Atari 720" everytime it was mentioned on the show... when just "720" would have sufficed...
Maybe that's my memory playing tricks on me.

Slap Fight and Flying Shark would be a must.
I've never played the originals, but they were two of my favourite Speccy shooters.

There are always a few of them coming up on eBay - they are not amazingly rare. Personally, I wouldn't pay much more than you'd expect for a regular second-hand GBA SP. I've seen one at "Buy-it-now" price of £40 including postage in the past (without really searching for anything in particular), so...

I've only ever played Superbowl and one of the FIFAs from that list.

Re:

Hardly anyone at my school had a C64, which is the reason why I went for a Speccy. I knew that I could swap & sell games to mates. I only ever knew one person who had an Amstrad, nasty green screen version too. Exactly the same here - Speccys all the way. I have never met a single person (that I am...
