Flunky on the Speccy.

And R-Type, Karnov, Buggy Boy, Hard Drivin', Driller...

Re:

I played that to death, too, but then I was a Transformers nut when the game came out. On reflection, that game was absolutely hopeless, with stupidly twitchy controls. I agree - it was bad, but you couldn't help persevering for the Transformers connection. Thundercats was an altogether more enjoya...

Just recorded a quick AVI using Hypercam and converted it into a GIF (reducing the size and quality, of course). You'll notice there is a LOT of slowdown - this is because A) My laptop is s**t and B) I had several programmes running including a few torrents at the time. http://img256.imageshack.us/i...

Try googling Hypercam, I think there is a free version to download.
It just records whatever is being displayed on your screen, or within a user-defined window, to multiple output formats including AVI...

Really enjoyed that game - thanks for reminding me; might have to replay that one myself...

Has anyone tried the GPXpectrum emulator yet?

Any good?

If it is, that may well sway my decision.
(I'm still torn between GBA/DS emulation and GPX2)...

Personally I don't mind the random battles in the FF series. There is always a sense of purpose to them. I quite like that apsect of the games - at some point in the games you always earn the right to avoid them some way or another, that was part of the fun, a goal to aim towards. And then there was...

I remember getting quite into this game.
It seemed to make sense to me.
Wasn't it featured on a Crash tape? - I think that was where I first played it...

Re:

Anyone agree that the worst joystick ever was the one bundled free with the Spectrum +2? Yeah - I agree. It was like using an umbrella handle stuck in a bucket of wallpaper paste with a load of coackroaches in the bottom. And that fire button - like a Fisherman's Friend balanced on a single biro sp...

I think I am the only person on the planet who thinks Final Fantasy VIII is better than VII? It is the game that revived my love for computer games. I don't think I had been as awed by, and addicted to, a game since playing Flashback on the Megadrive. VII is brilliant, but I think VIII is just beaut...
