Most people I know are heavily into games no matter what era they're from. We often get together and dig out the SNES for a multiplayer blast on Bomberman. With a group of us playing retro stuff, the nostalgia levels hit the roof!

Pick one favourite? Can't be done. Sensible: Best arcade football game ever in SWOS, a touching and emotional war game (yeah, right!) in Cannon Fodder and the strange genius that is WizKid. Capcom: Beat 'em ups a-plenty. Street Fighter, Final Fight, Marvel vs Capcom etc are all great games, but ther...

That bit in "The Secret of Monkey Island" when you have to earn Meathook's respect by antagonising the parrot. Instead of having your standard commands at the bottom of the screen ("Talk", "Open", etc) you had "Prod", "Poke", "Tickle" and so on. Sometimes it's the simple things that make you happy.

CU Amiga gave away a Team 17 exclusive in the form of Arcade Snooker (around 1995). It was (obviously) a sequel to Arcade Pool, which was a great game. The mag also had the Shoot 'Em Up Construction Kit about the same time I was given my first Amiga (1992 - 93?). And The One gave away the awful, awf...

Re:

[quote="russgalleywood"]I hate to be philosophical but, I guess it has to be your first machine doesn't it? If you hadn't liked the first computer you owned you probably wouldn't have persevered with it or bought another would you? Well, I would agree with you if not for the fact my first experience...
