He has been asked about this before but for the readers of RG that don't know about it you might want to ask him about the version of Battlezone that was commissioned by the US military.

Be gentle though, from past interviews I've heard he hated doing it.

I'd be interested in seeing someone do a comparison of the 8 bit classic Tau Ceti.

Pete Cooke's Speccy version was great but in my opinion Twiddey's C64 enhanced conversion is one of the few occassions where a port of a 3D Speccy game is better than the original.

you should be arrested for letting your mother read your copy of Retro Gamer. If she wants to read it she should buy her own.... I've often wondered about the hoards of readers you find in WH Smiths by the magazines. Are they pirates by reading a magazine in the shop, then putting it down and walki...

Did a quick bit of digging and found this interview from 2005. If you were interested in how he started and how he workd on C&VG this interview covers most of it.

Re:

I'm shattered. I kept meaning to send him an email letting him know how much I enjoyed his adventure column in the 80's, it created a sense of community that has only recently been replicated with forums.

He will be missed.

Give Stuart Campbell a regular gig, it's the highlight of the mag in my opinion.

Speaking of Campbells, I'm guessing that Keith Campbell was too burned by the demise of the old RG to come back out of retirement.

It would be neat to see a series on the evolution of adventure games by him.

I love the PSOne but just to keep the debate going and to help poor old sega2006... -You might want to point out that Tomb Raider appeared on the Saturn first. The PSOne version was a port. -You also might want to drop the Quake thing and do a direct comparison between Exhumed/Powerslave on the PSOn...

90: Double Dragon (C64) http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j268/revgiblet/double_dragon_03.gif This game remains legendary on the arcade, I quite enjoyed the Amstrad version and the ST version of Double Dragon II was played countless times by a friend and me. The C64 version of the original was not ...

Sad news...maestro Richard Joseph has passed away.

From http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=73696 Joseph was responsible for an incredible list of British-developed videogaming classics over the past twenty years, including Sensible Soccer, The Chaos Engine and Cannon Fodder. Close friend Jon Hare revealed the tragic news to Eurogamer th...

I loved the CD32 but what made it really good was adding an expansion and then discovering Speccy emulation.

The speccy never really got a foothold in Australia so finally I could see what I'd been missing.

Its the same reason why a safari park will always be better than a zoo.
Off topic but it's telling that the best zoos are becoming more like capsule safari parks.
