From Quaid's post
"so out of pure nostalgia, we kept it in"
Yes, I see. However I find the reason a dull one, but I guess it's a minor problem, as long as the rest of the magazine looks spiffy!

When it comes to retro I'll say platform games and shooters. And a puzzle game now and then.

1. Nostalgia. However I do enjoy playing old games that I did not own/know/play back then. Go figure. 2. Minimalistic graphic design. I'm a graphic designer myself, and retro games provide lots of inspiration and ideas to what I do. 3. Simple gameplay. Pick'n'play is what I got time for most of the ...

Shame you couldn't get Julian Rignall to write. But he's probably to busy these days playing Gran Turismo 3 and Warcraft :?

I'm having a hard time trying to decide between Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2 or Bruce Lee on the C64 as my all time fave. Hmmmmm...... come to think of it, maybe The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my number one.

I haven't played Citadel on the c64, but I always had a soft spot for Hunter's Moon. The music and graphics used in the title sequence is some of the best ever done on the c64. In my opinion the game has aged quite well! I'll have a look at Citadel, as soon as I get the time to play around with the ...
