About the Neo Geo/Amstrad debate, I do believe that with Retro Gamer, being an european magazine, should have the Amstrad brand on the cover along with Commodore and Sinclair. Those three companys go hand in hand with each other, covering everything I remember about those 8-bit years. The Neo Geo is...

I agree, the volume idea for the old RG just sucked big time. Much better with just the issue 19 tag!

Oooh controversial, I loved Spy Hunter on the Speccy more than the arcade version, but the c64 convrsion was bloody awful, except the music! No way! Both the gameplay and the music on the C64 version was spot on! Even more fun to play than the actual arcade game. A true classic on the C64!! The sam...

Law of the West was a very good game, but I couldn't help shooting at each and everyone in the game, even if I wasn't supposed to, so I never completed the game. Maybe now that I'm older and wiser I should have another go at the game. :? I always liked Los Angeles SWAT from Mastertronic on the c64, ...

.... Continued from my first post... Retro Scene: Good to see that you don't forget the roots of current homebrew development! This section is also one of my favorite parts of the old RG, and now it's even better! Bargain hunt: Nice! All in all I must say that this first issue of the new RG is blood...

The cover: As everyone said so far, the cover just looks great! Nice thick glossy paper and no DVD to damage the magazine when the postman gets rough! I like how the design is very sharp and compact looking, and the thin white border that keeps everything in place. Nice. With no DVD attached to the ...

Paul Rose/Mr. Biffo would be an awesome writer to have in RG on a regular basis. His column in Edge is my favorite part of that magazine these days.

Darren, have you ever played Chuckie Egg on Amstrad? It was a superb version of the game.

Sounds cool, Markie! I'm convinced that everything coming from the man who used to layout Zzap! is going to rock!

But remember to fix the (small) bug in the "R" in "GameR" logo, that mr.zzapback pointed out a few days ago.

Oh my God. It's Hideo Kojima isn't it? *faints*

God, I hope not! Page after page of reflections on how Snake cope with becoming an old fart! :P
