Re: From The Forum issue 169 - 3D Games
Wolfenstein 3D, okay it's not true 3D, but the effect was convincing enough on a platform powerful enough to pull it off correctly. I always loved Mercenary, but it never convinced me 3D games would take off because it was a lone game in the midst of so many other 2D efforts. Wolfenstein did though....

Actually I haven't heard a bad word about it from anyone yet, Minter fan or not.

Re: console battle QUARTER FINAL R2 VECTREX VS SNES
I voted for the SNES, but if it had been pretty much any other console up against it, then I would have voted for the Vectrex. It's my second favourite retro hardware after the C64 of course. But the SNES is the greatest console of all time imo

Do you have any other mail issues there Matt? While possible, I'd put more money on your local postman or mail carrier service "losing" your mail in the delivery stage.

Re: Any Nintendo DS Collectors Here?
Not a collector, but I have quite a few DS titles, probably 70-80 odd. Can't imagine I have anything to recommend that others won't mention however.

Re: Is there any way to stop the rising cost of retro?
Like me Ace don't know where to put everything I do chuckle, but then again, maybe my place is a little larger than some people? When you have the following (pretty much all boxed and complete): 1500+ C64 titles (and Japanese C64, MAX, SX64 computers), 500+ Vic20 titles, full NGPC sets, full Vectre...

Re: Selling My Stuff - Advice Please
Don't send the valuable stuff without full tracking and insurance, and avoid certain countries such as Italy, Russia and Brazil (their postal services are worse than useless). The NGPC clamshells should fetch a decent price, try to sell those in one lot. You'll probably have a hard time selling the ...

Re: From the forum issue 168 - Multiplayer scumbaggery
Have to admit, I laughed at that Striker story  Also on the very early FIFA Soccer, had it on the PC, and the same shooting exploit was possible, so it must have been running very similar code. Camping is generally why there's spawn protection enacted in the Gears games, to reduce such abuse heh.

Re: Console battle Q4 AMSTRAD GX4000 VS COMMODORE C64GS
But all the C64GS games were just brown and grey crap games weren't they? And they were 24.99 not 1.99 and there were few of them. Not one ofn them did anything a C64 couldn't so why buy one? The games were priced between £15-25 depending on the publisher. And Navy SEALS and Robocop 2 are definitel...

Re: Ever backed the wrong " Horse "
Yes, we had a Betamax as well, dad got it because it had a better picture quality (true), and the video store had pretty much everything for rental as it did for VHS in 1984. Eventually of course we did have to swap over to VHS.

Re: 2016/17 Football season chat
Disappointed with the Leicester result, but it wasn't the normal first team due to CL coming up, and Everton have been on fire at home this season. Still made quite a few chances at least.
