Re:

Are there any cartridge only games for the GS though? Yes... Shadow of the Beast Double Dragon (the Ocean version) Navy SEALs Toki Cyberball (until it was released on budget tape, never made fullprice release outside cart) Chase HQ 2 (SCI) Robocop 2 Robocop 3 Battle Command (though it seemed to be ...

I for one do just slightly prefer the music in IK to IK+, but only just ;)

And yes to Laser Squad as well. No surprise it's in my top ten games list for the C64 as well :)

Now for the "ooops" column section ;) In the Ultimate/Rare article, Blackwyche wasn't the last Arthur Pendragon for the C64, Dragonskulle was. Also in the Super Mario World for GBA review, the classic (as in I see it more than almost any other) error was made saying it has 96 levels. It only has 79 ...

Re:

That's pretty harsh on the Telstar and Entex. At least they tried something different and attempted to add value over the standard systems of their time. I rather like the stylings of the Telstar Arcade, particularly as it has dedicated gun and wheel controllers which caters for a couple of my favo...

Guess no one's tried a Radofin or an Acetronic then ;)

The original Odyssey wasn't up to much either, though the second one is a lot better. Telstar Arcade as well (triangle shape?!) and the Arcadia 2001 are rather rank, and can't forget the Entex Adventurevision either!

Issue #20 plopped through the door today... very nice issue :) Rare retrospective was very good, though nothing is ever going to top the interview they gave to TGM in issue #4 however. That was like taking the lid off Pandora's box at the time. Everything else, present and correct, and the magazine ...

C64 version all the way here ;)

(the Amiga version is nice, but no comparison. At least it's way better though than the dreadful conversion of Wizball!)

IK+. In the world of hyper fighting games today, nice to go back to a game that has a smaller move set you have to work with to win. And of course, three people!

With the buying of the Retro Gamer name, Imagine also gained the right to sell off any left over issues from Live's era. Any further duplication or re-use of the articles would however require a new deal being made with the writers in question. So I see it and understand.

From what I know, a certain cult handheld might be adorning the front...

Fraid not mate ;)

Still, a Neo Geo Pocket would have looked nice.

Sadly not, unless they relicense/pay us writers for the use (when Live went down, all the copyright to the work went back to us as we never signed any contracts).
