I haven't tried it myself, but you could give VecX a shot.

Re:

I understand the principle behind having U.S articles in the magazine (i.e encouraging U.S readers to take interest) but it seems like too much effort is being made and it comes over as desperate, having a large U.S article in the first few pages of the mag. It seems like a bit of a slap to the maj...

There should be (I don't know if it's still included, but it used to be) a CRT file of Action Replay included. If it's not there, go find it. Attach it in Vice and then you can activate it whilst running and put the pokes in, then restart the game.

I have a few... but one of most significant and special to me is finally beating C64 Impossible Mission, and proving the title wrong. Many people screw up on the puzzle part, but that was always the easy bit for myself; it was figuring out the rooms properly that took the time. But with hands sweati...

What was the access times on the CD compared to floppy disk in a normal Amiga? If the CD32 was at least twice as quick at loading, it might have been worth it.

Re: If you could chose one retro handheld...

I was really tempted by the Neo Geo after reading the article in Retro Gamer, but it's just that little bit too hard to get the games I'd like at a good price. Correction: it's hard to get the games you want complete at a good price. Finding loose ones about, even rare stuff such as Pocket Reversi,...

I believe they only had involvement with the first two X-Com games with Microprose before leaving to found another studio.

Sega stripped the world of Sega... Sony merely was a factor, not an overall reason. Sega cocked up several times which lead to their downfall. There is some terrific stuff on the PS1 if you know what they are... sadly it suffered the worst signal to noise ratio I can think of for any modern console....

Most places for example in the US had too many copies of them and started selling them separately as well. I can understand why though, just as another way to raise some money. Nice of Gamestation to give you one for free, even though they shouldn't have ;) (they were only supposed to be included wi...

I know the NTSC-U version goes for a good value on eBay (both of them do actually, the sequel even more so), but I didn't know the PAL version of Suikoden did as well.

Trust me, most shops had the staff/manager taking 360 stock from their initial delivery for their own. It goes on all the time.

It was all about memory prices back then. 16k was a lot in 1983 terms (I believe it cost 100 quid for the 16k RAM expansion for example for the Vic20), and that's how far the banking tech had gone. Roll on a few years, and then 32k, 64k, 128k and all the way up to 512k was possible, for pretty much ...
