Re: Project Hubbard (Rob Hubbard Kickstarter) is live!

There are some blog posts via C64Audio detailing parts of Rob's career, and yes there is a piece on his Atari 8 bit music coming up ;)

Re: Project Hubbard (Rob Hubbard Kickstarter) is live!

I believe there might be something in the works that covers the original pieces. Putting them all on CDs just wouldn't be practical though, there's far too much material. You're looking at hundreds of tunes with hours and hours of running time. I agree, a box set of Hubbard original music CDs would...

Re: A Question for Subscribers (magazines now sent out damaged?)

My recent issues have been okay, bar #172 which does have a bit of cover damage in a similar vein, but nothing like what's shown in the photos.

Re: Forum announcement

Well, it's been a lot better the last couple of weeks, I've only encountered one OOC message during that time, as opposed to expecting it to crop up every time I visited before that point...

Re: Controversial magazine Reviews/Scores

On the subject of controversial reviews, I do remember very vividly the 65% given to Sonic 2 in GamesMaster. Too easy and too similar to the original were the main complaints, so to be fair they did justify the mark and it wasn't just a case of trying to get attention. Yeah I recall people saying t...

Re: Controversial magazine Reviews/Scores

For me, if we're going back that far, it would be Ballblazer. I don't know anyone that liked that game Me :P But I fully accept, and I think I made the comment in one of the pieces we wrote that didn't get published (The Eidolon?) that the early Lucasarts games were great, but a little overhyped in...

Re: Discuss - 174

Lots to choose from there, it's a toss up between Pitfall and Adventure, two ground breaking games for their own reasons.

NFL Wembley Ravens vs Browns 24th Sept

I’ve got a spare ticket for this game at Wembley on the 24th, section 106 right near the front, asking cost (£60) for it. Anyone?

Re: 2017/18 Football season chat

Yeah, surprised by that, it's not as if the team were playing badly, they just couldn't stick the ball in the net, made plenty of chances.

I wish I had bought that issue with Zzap64 back in the day. :|
Rob had a bunch of spares afterwards, but I think they'd be long gone now, it is 12 years ago...

The PDF should be out there though... in fact, here you go... http://www.c64.com/downloads/The%20DEF% ... zap!64.pdf

Re: Questions for Mark 'Klax/Dark Castle' Pierce

Were you aware of the idea approach by Lott and Adium when programming Professor Pac-Man, or only realise when the legal action was threatened?

What was your opinion on using digitised versions of the combatants for Pit Fighter? Was it something easy to implement?

Who came up with the idea for Klax?

Re: 2017/18 Football season chat

Great result for Huddersfield, but a lack of investment and small squad size means that they will struggle, particularly in the second half of the season. As most promoted teams realise, you have to grab as many points before Christmas as you can, then just pray its enough fof the handful of pojnts...
