Great games that haven't stood the test of time

My choices would be GoldenEye and Street Fighter II. For their time they were revolutionary, but go back to them now and uurrghh.

Any others to add to the list?

There's a little bit of Elevator Action Returns love in Issue 20 (not telling you what it is though :wink:

As Meh says though, it really is a superb little gamer and should hopefully gain wider recognition when it comes out next year on Taito Legends II

What's your favourite genre?

Everyone has a particular type of game they enjoy, so what's yours?

I'm a huge fan of shmups, both horizontal and vertical and can play them until the cows come home. In my mind they require the core mechanics for any skilled gamer, it's all about the reactions and skill levels.
