Re: Discuss: Spectrum vs Amstrad Gaming

I loved my Amstrad, but I always wished I had a commodore 64 at the time. It had far better shooters on the system and it also had some great arcade conversions. And then of course there was the amazing SID chip. On the other hand the Amstrad had the best versions of Chase HQ, Renegade and Gryzor so...

Re: Retro Gamer issue 180

Which gets me thinking...... How many have there been? Without checking through I recall the Pokemon and Super Mario Kart covers.... To my knowledge they are the only two split runs we've done. We've done a few flipper covers in the past, but that's it. There will be a unique cover for subscribers ...

Re: Paul Woakes tribute

I was very saddened to hear of the death of Paul Woakes. I probably knew Paul better than most so here's my little story. Most people first met Paul at the Atari B.U.G (Birmingham User Group) club in the early 80's which is where I first got to know him. He used to come to quite a lot of the meetin...

Re: Wulverblade

Has anyone played this? It's a fantastic scrolling fighter set in 120 AD with loads of real lore about the time to be discovered. There's a great combat engine at its core and I've just finished playing through it. It's available on numerous platforms although the Switch version does run at 30fps w...

Re: Tracking lateness

Still nothing here yet. On Facebook it says: "If anyone overseas is experiencing issues with their subscription please contact Darran at darran.jones@futurenet.com with the title of 'delayed subscription' and he'll do the rest." Did that last week, no reply either. Does anyone actually take care of...

Re: My year of PS2

Bully is essentially a modern day version of Back To Skool and Skool Daze. It's really decent and the Wii version is pretty fun as well.
