Re: Mailbag section in RG

Hi, I would like to know how to be featured in the Mailbag section of the magazine? I've been sending about 1 email a month to "retrogamer@futurenet.com" for a few months now, but never received any reply or never been featured in the section. Maybe my subjects were not interesting enough... sorry ...

Re: Screen shots of games looked better in the old days

I do like that the photo the OP posted shows that scanlines weren't really a thing back then, and that their emulation tends to overdo it. They existed, but they were barely perceptible due to the way the CRT would bleed light all over them It depends on the TV really. I had an old trinitron where ...

Re: IMPORTANT - COVID-19 update

The reason why the various tweets and posts were placed here and on social media is because not all subscribers' emails were on file, which probably explains why you've not heard anything. The idea is to fill out that form so you could receive PDFs while you waited for issues to turn up. I'm not su...

Re: IMPORTANT - COVID-19 update

Just found this topic, I fully understand everyone is facing challenges during the pandemic and I'm supportive of the magazine taking steps to hold back issues to save costs. All I would add is an email to affected subscribers would have been helpful, I did see the tweet about no in store issues av...

Re: IMPORTANT - COVID-19 update

Well that's disappointing as I have paid for my magazines. Have you received your digital pdfs of the issues? I know it's not the same but it still allows you to read the magazine. If you haven't your email address possibly isn't on record and it can be updated here https://future-publishing.msgfoc...

Any update on this?
None at the moment. We'll post something when we have something useful. My understanding is that the price of sending stuff over seas is really high at the moment due to planes being at a premium.

I've been hammering the Evercade over the weekend. Only played the first Atari pack but having fun with it.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 208 - Back to the 80s

I'm an international subscriber, and I got the free digital version for this issue as well as the last two. For this issue, it was with an email saying that they were sending the mag out, not holding it, so slightly different. I didn't get an email saying my held magazines have been sent out yet ei...

Re: Panzer Dragoon Remake review.

65%? Really? The fact that it exists at all is a miracle, but 65%? I know I'm a biased Sega fanboy who's been eager for this since it was announced, but surely you could've waited til after the 1.3 patch was released. The patch addresses most, if not all of the fan-concern complaints. From 60fps, t...

Re: Videogames Hardware Handbook - Volume 2 (Why so many revisions??)

I will pass this on to the bookazine department. Nowadays the books aren't edited by me so I have no idea they exist until they are on shelves.
