was another great read will 214 have a retro calendar like last year?
Sadly not. We had to cancel it due to the second lockdown.

Re: Issue 213

Is 'My Retro Life" new? More of that please. Horses for courses, but I find this interesting and relatable. It made me think about my gameboy collecting... how it started 20 years ago, where it's going, where it's been and some of the weird, lucky and unlucky things that happened along the way... l...

You could just do one cover...
That's not going to happen either I'm afraid.

Re: Subscriptions magazine cover options

There's no current way we can give subscribers a choice of cover. If that ever changes we'll let everyone know.

Re: Tracking lateness

My subscription to Retro Gamer is supposed to be monthly, but Future cannot be bothered to actually send issues to paid subscribers. So I paid $123 in March 2020 for a 1 year subscription. My first print issue was supposed to be 206. Then Covid-19 hit. I, like many of you, received 1 email notice J...

I can confirm that as of issue 213 we are back up to our usual 116 pages.
Great stuff Darren, does this mean the Homebrew section is back too?
No, Jason is still poorly in hospital with COVID so it would return fully until he does.

Re: Issue 212

It appears subs are starting to arrive, so hopefully they'll all hit by the weekend. I don't know much about this side of the business, but it looks like the delivered section on people's notifications needs to be updated to 'dispatched' as that would make more sense and wouldn't make people worry t...

Re: Issue 212

Well this is frustrating. Unfortunately the mag team have no information about the subscriptions of readers so it's impossible to offer any sort of advice when delays happen or give updates other than what we're told, which we then subsequently pass on. We do tend to post everything of importance on...

Re: Issue 211

To end with something positive, the new editor-in-chief of Edge came through with her offer: she had said she'd send me a replacement issue herself and that actually arrives this week. Which obviously is awesome and very much ulinke the "lalala we can't hear you" attitude from ccertain other magazi...

Re: Mailbag section in RG

Hi, I would like to know how to be featured in the Mailbag section of the magazine? I've been sending about 1 email a month to "retrogamer@futurenet.com" for a few months now, but never received any reply or never been featured in the section. Maybe my subjects were not interesting enough... sorry ...

Re: Screen shots of games looked better in the old days

I do like that the photo the OP posted shows that scanlines weren't really a thing back then, and that their emulation tends to overdo it. They existed, but they were barely perceptible due to the way the CRT would bleed light all over them It depends on the TV really. I had an old trinitron where ...

Re: IMPORTANT - COVID-19 update

The reason why the various tweets and posts were placed here and on social media is because not all subscribers' emails were on file, which probably explains why you've not heard anything. The idea is to fill out that form so you could receive PDFs while you waited for issues to turn up. I'm not su...

Re: IMPORTANT - COVID-19 update

Just found this topic, I fully understand everyone is facing challenges during the pandemic and I'm supportive of the magazine taking steps to hold back issues to save costs. All I would add is an email to affected subscribers would have been helpful, I did see the tweet about no in store issues av...
