I think X-Com: UFO Defense was the US equivalent of Enemy Unknown.I loved UFO: Enemy Unknown, but I thought that was the first X-Com game (with Terror from the deep being the second). Have I got this wrong, because UFO:E.U isn't listed above. It had some nice box art by Danny Flynn.

Retro deals
Just a heads up. Play.com have a 3 for £18 deal on at the mo (PC & PS2). There's not a very large selection, but it does include both Taito Legends compilations if anyone is interested. Anyone aware of any other deals/bargains on at the moment which involve any retro stuff?

Had fairly nice gaming-pickings in GAME today. With their 3 for 2 offers on pre-owned, I never really have much hope of picking up any bargains, but today I was pleasantly surprised by finding Silent Hill 2, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution and Black for PS2 all in great condition. The discs aren't even s...

Still playing Okami. The comparisons are obvious, but it's more refined and far more creative than the Zelda games. Also got a few rounds of Xcom: Enemy Unknown in this evening. Absolutely love this game, definitely in my all-time top 10. Other than that, I've been sorting through my PC game collect...

Okami - PS2 Okami - PS2 Bit more Okami - PS2 Okami turned up today (duh!) and it's great. Graphically stunning, especially for a PS2 game, and really lives up to the hype (which makes a nice change). I've been wanting to try and finish off Ratchet & Clank, but I don't think it's gonna get a look in...

Managed to finish off Fahrenheit late last night. Great game, but the plot goes mental near the end and it's frustratingly hard to follow due to some crazy fights which intersect the story. It's a good job that the general gameplay has so many branching possibilities, so playing through again to try...

Have you got past the bit where you play Lucas as a child and have to sneak into the Army base? I have. It's quite tricky and made tougher thanks to some awful colour choices on the minimap. Hint (if you need it): Climb the fence to the south, then avoid the patrolling soldier's sight (this can be ...
