Re: Coronavirus

The funny thing (although anyone getting the virus isn't funny) is loads of these lout idiots that are gathering in parks and beaches are big fat diabetic lard arses that fall right into the 'you could actually die if you get it' category. Now, as for Mr Cummings, what on earth are people so upset ...

Re: Coronavirus

Matt_B, it's not just about the elderly. I am one of nearly TWO MILLION people below 70 who are having to "shield" due to medication or pre-existing conditions. That means I cannot go out and my stepdaughter is being cared for by relatives while my wife remains in hospital recovering from major surg...

Re: Amiga 300

In theory cost-reducing the Amiga 500 was possible, the problem would be the level of compatibility with software.

Oh, and dropping the number pad was a bad idea on the A600 anyway. Flight sims often used it, making them harder to play.

Congrats on getting a full issue out under these conditions.

EDGE was just a catalogue of games last month.
Edge was a carefully curated list of games that make people happy / lower stress / offer something offer than death & destruction at a difficult time. I thought it was impressive.

Re: JXD Mini arcade

Yeah it’s good there’s lots of choices out there. Amazing what some people can create with the raspberry pi. Still would love a book on arcade games. Like an A-Z of the big names. Arcade fever is okay but just features old games. Greyfox was doing a book. Would love Bitmap Books to do one There is ...

Re: JXD Mini arcade

Watched a video of it and it's not bad. But I'm leaning more towards a Raspberry Pi at the moment.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

Are you also aware of irony? "Irony" as in "lame justification for being a smug smartass", I suppose? Yeah, I could see that despite English not being my mother language. As a next step you could try belittling me for that, I'm sure that also works very well in your circles. There is so much more t...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

You do realise it was probably an automated script that put up the next issue cover, and the situation changed? You do realise that your smug tone doesn't come across that well when you clearly didn't read carefully what I wrote? The next issue (i.e. #207) is available to subscribers for online rea...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

I can't talk for digital copies or subs, but if you're ordering 206 from MFM it will take around 3 weeks to turn up after dispatch. I guess I can count myself lucky because in my experience dispatch to arrival in Germany has pretty much almost been little more than one week in the last few years, i...

Re: Questions for Chris 'Software Projects' Cannon

Were you using development hardware or coding straight onto the system?

Did you share ideas and coding tips with the other Software Projects guys?

Did you play test each other's games and give honest feedback?

Is there a project you regret not finishing?
