Re:

I was annoyed that on the Amstrad version at least, my friend & I played Deeper Dungeons up to over level 120 with no sign of the end. Just repeated levels all the time. I thought the barcode was a representation of the numbers below it which could be read by machine. Therefore as long as the machine can read the code and that the number is on the system, the system should know what is going on. Yes I am a dullard for asking this! Most barcode scanners are basicall...

Re:

I've just fired this up on Vice and it seems very good. I never usually enjoy that many games from the past that I haven't previously played/owned. However, if anybody can give me any hints and tips it would be much appreciated, as I'm not exactly certain of the aim. I've figured out about double t...

Re:

I got this at the time thuogh looking back, would it be considered cynical that on the whole this was just a way for the software house to dump a lot of mediocre titles while making themselves look good? Oh I don't know about that, I thought that some of the stuff on there was pretty good... I alwa...

It was confusing enough when they added volume numbers... now you want issue 19 to be known as volume 3 issue 1 or New Retro Gamer issue 1, or issue 19b...

Out Run on the C64 had two major problems, the graphics and the gameplay. The sprites were awful, especially the main car, and the backgrounds were incredibly blocky. The road stripes didn't give a feeling of speed either. The gameplay? The biggest shock is there are no road junctions. Spectrum Out ...

Rocketball - best played with two players, but yes I like it Psi 5 - CLASSIC! Wasted many hours trying to stop the pirates boarding. Played it on tape initially, then bought it again on disk recently Law of the West - too repetitive, probably too ambitious for the machine Thunder Force III - good, b...
