I had the day off school due to a sporting injury (shot put in wet conditions equals badly bruised right arm) and so was typing in the listing LEFT-HANDED very slowly. 2 hours it took. Now, one little quirk of the C64 is that...

[blatant plug] Check out the Retro Survival CD [/blatant plug] Seriously, a compilation CD of useful programs, emulators and video/audio footage once a year sounds like a good idea. Or a sort of "Retro Starter Kit". (I still haven't finished looking through or playing all the stuff on the RG coverdi...

...the LEGO company have finally got their head out of their arse and have a wider selection of brick types - so curves are now possible ! :) Curves and LEGO?!?!?! The mind boggles!! Back in the late 1980s I went to a LEGO exhibition, they were building things with curves back then - by offs...

Turrican is better than Shadow of the Beast or Megaman, but not as good as Mario...

It's a real shame that Turrican3D will never be finished...

Re:

Surely what's covered in any publication is driven by target audience. Hopefully the team will know who buys these kind of mags and what they want to see. The question is wether the mag is aiming at gamers or ex-gamers. Yes, my brother played an loved the mid 80s games, home and arcade, but does he...

Re:

PSI 5 Trading company was fantastic. Closest thing ever to being the captain on the bridge of a star ship (or in this case dodgy firefly style cargo ship.) Did anyone here ever use the keys to get an edge? My fingers used to fly across the keyboard during battle, I have memories of quickly getting ...

Re:

No I don't own Retro Survival. I decided to go for either RB or RS and in the end went for RB since I prefer printed magazines. Can I therefore assume there is something instrumental that I am missing? Well, have a look at http://www.retrosurvival.co.uk - there you will find out all about the CD, p...

Now, I have to admit a liking for all of the Lucasfilm fractal games... The Eidolon is my favourite, closely followed by Rescue on Fractalus.

Ballblazer... yeah, it's fun in two player but quickly becomes repetitive. Nice 3D effect though.

I was annoyed that on the Amstrad version at least, my friend & I played Deeper Dungeons up to over level 120 with no sign of the end. Just repeated levels all the time. We had to turn the tape over a few times :) Were all home versions of Gauntlet like this? Yes, all the tape versions were like th...

Re:

I thought the barcode was a representation of the numbers below it which could be read by machine. Therefore as long as the machine can read the code and that the number is on the system, the system should know what is going on. Yes I am a dullard for asking this! Most barcode scanners are basicall...
