Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 201

I thought the Nintendo mag thing was ace! Saved me 10% on the kids Christmas Present. Also, if you don't like the thing, just lob it in the bin!!! Pointless getting upset about it. Agreed. Did any subscribers get that thing? Mine didn't come with it though I've had several emails from Nintendo tell...

Re: Amusement Arcades, where are they?

The best arcade to visit at the moment in the U.K. is the Arcade Club which is based in Bury near Manchester and a new one in Leeds. 3 floors of retro arcade goodness for only £16 to get in and then all on free play all day. Retro Gamer did an article on them a few issues back. Retro heaven. Wish t...

Re: From The Forum Issue 202

GTA's Vice City - the 1980s ambience and homage to Miami works so well, and when you drive along the seafront in a sports car with the sun setting it looks gorgeous.

Re: Video game documentaries?

Hey guys, I only just found out about the From Bedrooms To Billions Playstation Revolution kickstarter - does anyone know if this got finished & released? Or if it's still in produciton? For some reason I can't jump on the late backer link on their KickStarter page. The facebook page only has one p...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 201

I love Barry Leitch soundtracks and I'm always disppointed that there's such a short notice for our questions here in the forum. I would love to ask him some questions:( Sorry you missed it - it was a very last-minute commission so there wasn't much time to get questions in. If you send me a Privat...

Questions for Stefano Arhnold (TecToy)

My latest interview for In The Chair is taking place at the end of November, and will be with Stefano Arhnold - the current president of Tec Toy. Stefano has been with the company since 1987, when it signed licensing agreements with Sega to build its hardware for sale in the Brazilian market. As wel...

Re: Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

Some names I've not seen for a long time there... thanks for the memory refresh! Will go hunt some of that down and have a good old listen. I still can't get as nostalgic over Amiga music like I do over C64 music though. I get that. While there have been some great Amiga remixes, I still prefer lis...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200

DRS your interview with Mathew Smith was superb and I can very much related to Mathew. I think a lot of people have rose tinted glasses to bedroom programmers whilst Matt says it’s not really as good as people think. Chasing publishers to get payed. One of the best issues I read In a long time. I t...

Re: Samurais & Ninjas

How about Second Samurai? I played on ST, but it's on various platforms. And the original First Samurai (named that as a joke because some of the team had previously worked on The Last Ninja...) Samurai Warrior: The Battles of Usagi Yojimbo is one of my favourites, with its Karma system (the lead c...
