Re: Coronavirus

I had to take my Mum to and from an Ultrasound which was strangley still on and I have a nasty feeling it's going to spread here. While traffic was lower there was still quite a few cars about, so many places still open too and the old town high street visibly had a lot of parking in use from the e...

Bollocks to all that
Wheres my GX4000 mini?
Amstrad will probably get round to it in five years' time. And it will be the size of a breezeblock.

Re: Coronavirus

Yeah, fingers crossed and all the best from me too. Over here, all non-emergency surgery has been postponed indefinitely just before my wife was due to have an operation on Friday after waiting nearly a year. These definitely aren't the best times for people who've got ongoing medical issues. Sorry...

Re: Coronavirus

So a tough situation just got tougher... My wife went into hospital on March 2nd for major surgery. It was a nine-hour operation and she was recovering well. Then complications meant she had to go back into surgery for another three hours and she is struggling to recover from this second op. I am no...

Re: Questions for Howie 'Atari/Gottlieb/Jaleco' Rubin

Were there any games or companies you regret turning down?

Did you feel restricted by Nintendo's policies?

Did you ever suggest changes/ideas that made it into the final game?

Did you sneak in any Easter Eggs/hidden stuff that has not been found?

I've done a search for Magnificent Seven and have come up with loads of posts about compilations with that name. I assume it has some other meaning? And is TheLaird involved?
In this context it refers to seven members who went to another retro forum. The Laird was not one of them.

I always thought it was extremely similar to Cosmic Avenger (or rather, the other way around), which I really liked on the ColecoVision (rented one a few times).
Released the same year, so difficult to say one influenced the other

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Dolittle
Great fun and a clever way of re-inventing the character. But the worst accent since censored van Dyke tried to play a Cockney. It looks like many of Robert Downey Jr's lines were re-recorded or overdubbed because his Welsh accent is awful...
