Re: JXD Mini arcade

Yeah it’s good there’s lots of choices out there. Amazing what some people can create with the raspberry pi. Still would love a book on arcade games. Like an A-Z of the big names. Arcade fever is okay but just features old games. Greyfox was doing a book. Would love Bitmap Books to do one There is ...

Re: JXD Mini arcade

Watched a video of it and it's not bad. But I'm leaning more towards a Raspberry Pi at the moment.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

Are you also aware of irony? "Irony" as in "lame justification for being a smug smartass", I suppose? Yeah, I could see that despite English not being my mother language. As a next step you could try belittling me for that, I'm sure that also works very well in your circles. There is so much more t...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

You do realise it was probably an automated script that put up the next issue cover, and the situation changed? You do realise that your smug tone doesn't come across that well when you clearly didn't read carefully what I wrote? The next issue (i.e. #207) is available to subscribers for online rea...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

I can't talk for digital copies or subs, but if you're ordering 206 from MFM it will take around 3 weeks to turn up after dispatch. I guess I can count myself lucky because in my experience dispatch to arrival in Germany has pretty much almost been little more than one week in the last few years, i...

Re: Questions for Chris 'Software Projects' Cannon

Were you using development hardware or coding straight onto the system?

Did you share ideas and coding tips with the other Software Projects guys?

Did you play test each other's games and give honest feedback?

Is there a project you regret not finishing?

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

^Wow never seen it ? Did you like it ? The two films are decent to watch, some scenes are classic but theyre not as good as the series. But the Inbetweeners is funny as hell I liked it. Might give the films a watch. I love Friday Night Dinner though, been watching since the first series and series ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Fix-It Felix on the C64

It improves on the Mega Drive version of the arcade game inspired by the fictional arcade game in the original Wreck-It Ralph. Even has sampled speech and cutscenes crammed into a single load.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206

Had the time to read through issue 206, and enjoyed it.
Favourite pieces were Soleil and the history of Disaster Report, but once again a great mix of subjects.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 205

Great issue this month as it features many games I played on the original machines back in the days. I especially appreciate this month's C64 Minority Report for featuring Aigina's Prophecy . I have been searching for this title for years! Originally I played the game when I was tinkering with C64 ...
