Re: Screenshot challenge.

Ah Kwirk, that's what it's called - I recognised the character but couldn't place.

Re: Tetris 99

So, the last few times I've played this I've been pretty much demolished and barely made it to top 50. Maybe all the casuals (like me LOL) have dropped off and left the good people - for me it's no longer fun, just leaving me pissed off, so I've deleted it.

Re: Toe Jam & Earl: Back in the Groove

I've really been enjoying this. Who'd have thought that... a) TJ&E is a roguelike before doing roguelikes was in fashion b) That I would give a censored about a roguelike game Playing it digitally but I also ordered the ridiculous special edition box from Limited Run. https://limitedrungames.com/col...

Re: RIP <Insert celebrity>

I don't know Luke Perry but I don't have much sympathy for Keith Flint. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that taking a drugs throughout your life is without consequence. Surprised you dont know him. Wasnt my cup of tea but he was one of the blokes in Beverly Hills 90210, think he was in some sh...

Re: Your New Retro Gamer Community Team

It makes me wonder how it is for Daz under this regime, not that he could comfortably discuss it here. I don't think the mag teams have ever been particularly comfortable talking about corporate stuff (neither should they). I'm thinking back to when people used to complain about the porn phone numb...

Re: Your New Retro Gamer Community Team

However, if there was some drive to abandon forums as a matter of policy, I can't imagine Joe and his team would have been allowed to start big jobs like the major upgrades they're involved in elsewhere. During a recent presentation to shareholders, the one big thing that the C-suite of the company...

This is an area I've not explored much - I'd be interested to learn what others do as well.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Ha yeah the are fun when the break! It's not so bad with a regular MegaCD box because you can get a brand new CD jewel case and use the back of that... but those custom boxes for 3DO, Mega CD and Dreamcast are weak and a pain.

Re: Tetris 99

I had no thought to consider looking at the instructions for any depth, I was just blindly playing Tetris for as long as possible. Anyone hazard a guess as to why this is free? Encourage people to use Nintendo Switch Online is the only thing I can think of. I don't remember seeing any microtransacti...
