Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

I am getting a bit annoyed at the lack of announcements in regards to the rest of the built in games. It's 4-5 weeks to release day and still nothing released about the titles you will be paying for :? I wonder if Sony has run into licencing problems or specific developers or publishers have halted...

Re: Xbox One Mouse And Keyboard Support: The Potential

Personally, I like console gaming mainly because it DOESN'T use a mouse and keyboard. Sitting at a desk with a mouse and keyboard feels a bit too much like being at work for me, these days. Each to their own, I suppose... Depends if a certain new game utilises them more fully. The keyboard has 50 p...

Re: Xbox One Mouse And Keyboard Support: The Potential

What about using them in conjuction with each other for example two point hospital on the pc has features with a mouse and keyboard that console controllers can not offer with its limited number of controlls.

Re: Xbox One Mouse And Keyboard Support: The Potential

It won't make any significant impact. Anything other than the controls supplied with the system never do. It does mean there's scope for retro PC games to be ported though, possibly using some DOSbox variant. If that happened, and someone like GoG got involved, it could be good. Thank you for reply...

Xbox One Mouse And Keyboard Support: The Potential

The recent announcement of Keyboard and Mouse Support for the Xbox One is great news for Xbox One users and does now open the doors and potential for many newer games to be developed for Xbox One and also allow the user to utilise the capabilities of the Xbox One a lot more and will pave the way for...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

As for value for money; you're getting a machine plus controllers plus 20 games for about £100. In this day and age, that really is not a lot of money and good value at around a fiver a game (with a 'free' machine). Obviously it depends on what games are there as to whether you would want it, but e...

Re: Backwards Compatability

Heres an interesting documentary the Playstation Backwards Compatability that is only 22 minutes and does a good job of explaining how backwards compatability is possible on many consoles from today.

Re: Backwards Compatability

IMO it isn't backwards comparability unless you can stick the real media from the older console in and play it. Buy-it-from-an-online-store backwards compatibility isn't compatibility at all,it's buy-it-from-an-online store! I am sure that if a console has a USB port Backwards Compatability could b...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

I loved the Mini NES, the SNES and Commodore 64 but for some reason cannot work up the enthusiasm for this one. It might be that I have ~900 PS1 games and still have an original Playstation and PSOne set up along with a PS2 and PS3 that can all run the games so it becomes a bit pointless owning a m...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Seems odd they would use the standard controllers over the duelshock ones, maybe they plan on selling those separately? Bit much for my tastes, I might get one if there's ever an N64 mini so I can have the former rivals side by side. But yeah, when you consider the price of some of the big PS...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

I have absolutely zero interest in this, couldn't be less excited quite honestly. ^^^ Same but cool for those who are in to PS1. Seems pointless when a PS3 can do it anyway. Also PS games have aged very badly and I'm not sure it'll enjoy the mainstream retro appeal of Nintendo and Atari's efforts. ...
