Re: Can i get some feedback?

[Edited to remove my advice to the OP as they appear to be selling somebody else's work for profit.]

Re: Nintendo shut down Emuparadise.

Folks who have hacked the NES Mini have found they can add HUNDREDS of games to it. Which begs the question: if the scope was there for Nintendo to provide more, why didn't they? Sure, the RRP would have likely gone up, but it would have been worth it to some folks. This could have been an easier f...

Re: Nintendo shut down Emuparadise.

Nintendo have every right to do this now they are releasing the games gain. Romsites devalue the product. I think the flipside to this is that a lot of folks are becoming resentful of being asked to pay for the privilege of playing old games they already paid for when they originally released. Plus...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

As far as CD based systems go the Playstation has a higher death rate Replacing lazers wont ever really be a thing, the market isnt that big and most people have a "Its broken, bin/sell it" attitude to it I have read of some using PC CD-rom drives and replacing the drive with that I spotted Zedlabs...

Re: Nintendo shut down Emuparadise.

"Video games as an art form" In that case FIfa/COD are the picture of that tennis player scratching her arse. Thanks for that. I've lost half my cheese sandwich now! Lots of good points raised in response to my last post. Sadly, I think there's a great deal of truth in them. I doubt Nintendo, or an...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Oh its real, could of gotten a clone for less, but waiting to hear back on if they are decent Im also keeping my eye on other loaders for it. Oh, NICE one! Gotta say, solutions to optical drives like that do interest me. I hear almost unanimous bad reports about the Chinese GDemu units, though. The...

HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show

I figure this is probably as good a time as any to start banging the drum about my Youtube channel. It's been in the pipeline for a while as it was originally due to launch in April of this year. But good old Youtube and their stupid January policy update meant I had to alter my plans substantially....

Re: Nintendo shut down Emuparadise.

I'm finding this whole situation kind of interesting. Got to say, up front, that I'll never stand up in advocacy of software piracy. But I do think the discussion surrounding Nintendo's aggressive actions against ROM sites throws a light on a lot of other stuff besides. The backlash against them fro...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

^Dreamcasts aint that expensive Let me put it another way: They are if you want one that has an assured level of past care and isn't in danger of having the laser crap out literally who-knows-when. (Nice score on the GDemu, by the way - is that the real deal or one of the Chinese ones?) In other ne...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 184

Snagged this over the weekend, mainly for the R-Type features. And I wasn't disappointed! Props for not only covering the sequel to one of my favourite EVER video games, but for doing so twice! It was really interesting to read about the challenges the Gameboy version presented. Also: who the heck c...

I'm more surprised that you wanted to complete it rather than the fact it was easy, it's such a terrible game. I don't think I even bothered copying it when someone loaned it to me.
In my defense, I was young, and it was a rainy afternoon. It was that or do maths homework, I think.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I'd think it goes to show that physical media is no guarantee of being able to play a game in the indefinite future at a point when the download services have been discontinued. That's long been true for the multi-player components of games, but it's also getting to be the case for single-player on...

Re: The first games you completed.

As far as I can remember that would be Monty is Innocent on the Spectrum, not the best of Monty games but the only one I completed. Isn't that the one where you play as a weasel or something? And you have to bust Monty out of jail - except your player character keeps getting hidden behind the foreg...

Re: The first games you completed.

I think the first game I ever completed was Back to the Future on the ZX Spectrum. I remember being reaally pleased with myself until it dawned on me how easy the game actually was.

I think the next game I finished was Space Harrier on the Atari ST.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

The Order: 1886 on PS4. I played through this for purposes of putting a review together. Hard to do, considering the amount of negative press that's out there about it that's already worked its way into my brain. All I can really cogently say about it right now is that it was a fun experience, but n...
