Re: Retro Gamer issue 176

I found this issue to be a bit more interesting than some of the resent issues to date. I've never played the game but the Contra article was interesting enough. I also liked the Grafgold, Frostbye, Turok and even the Amstrad articles. I did spot a couple of mistakes well one and a false claim in th...

You’ll have to get the spectrum next, the Oliver brothers are said to be making a new dizzy game for it.

Re: Gaming elements that annoy you.

For me it is probably the constantly respawning enemies that infested many 8-but and 16-bit games. Yes these can be rather annoying, make you wonder why your bothering to kill them if they are only to come back and annoy you even more. This is still a problem in some modern games. I also agree on Q...

Re: Spectrum Next - Will you buy one

As a speccy owner back in the day I would be very interested in buying one if they should become available again. I missed the kickstarter and the on line shop which has sold out. I won't be paying over the odds to some ebayer though.

Re: How to play these chip tunes?

I guess you good folk are as stumped as me on this one :? . I've gone through the entire AYGOR collection now, well apart from the above SAA files and have been rather surprised to what some of these guys have got out of the humble 48k beeper. I knew of many multi channel tunes but I have never hear...

Is it me or does it feel a little sluggish and slow opening threads and between pages? I have a fast connection and other sites load in an instant.

Re: From The Forum issue 177 - 2018 retro wishes

I'm hoping the Spectrum Next becomes readily available (and I don't mean via an Ebay rip off merchant) and that it lives up to it's promise.

Does the calendar have enough space to write stuff in for each day?

None of the games on the cover interest me, and I was a bit put off by the price increase, but I might buy it for the calendar!
Each day has a 37x23mm box, so I guess that depends on how big your writing is.

Can anyone fill in the blanks?
You have already got a few more than I would have but I'd say 3,5: is Jak and Daxter
