Re: From the Forum - Issue 199: Shareware

It has to be something I still play to this day... Deluxe Galaga - Amiga by Edgar Vigdal. (it's still available as Warblade on iPhone and other systems).

And on the PC - Scorched Earth. I'm still playing Pocket Tanks on PC & iPhone!

Re: Old Nerd Playing Old PC Games

But as you ask, yeah I have a much better way of growing your youtube channel. Post 50 times on this forum, getting...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 198

OK, so had a chance to have a read of some articles and flick through the rest. The Subs cover is not bad - shiny. Black & silver - better than some of the subs covers. Retro Revivals are now 2 pages. That's a lot of blocks on the double page of Bomber!!!!! Mega Drive Mini - won't be getting one, bu...

Yeah, this popped up on my screen earlier. Instant YES from me as I did have this but kind of lost it - then couldn't remember where I got it from!

Re: Retro Gamer - issue 197

Just opened it and having a swift look through. Not as retro RETRO as I'd like, but there are still some real gems to dig into. I must quickly say though that I stopped and read the making of Super Robin Hood - a game I remember not being brilliant on the C64. The conversion capers with white print ...

The non-subscriber cover is horrible! I actually prefer the Subs one for this issue.

Re: From the Forum - Issue 197: Shenmue

We played Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 rather a lot on the Dreamcast, so when we got Shenmue and plodded around for a while, the kids decided it was rubbish and it never went back on!

All these years later I still haven't played it properly. I really must change that.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 196

I've got it - but it's still in its wrapper. Life is just so busy atm, so will hopefully get to have a butchers hook sometime Wednesday. Never been a fan of the Gameboy (although Tetris was cool on it). Actually, the content on the cover has very little to 'turn me on' this issue. But you never know...

Re: The Retro Games Magazine Show Episode 2 - Zzap! 64 Issue 1

Well, for one, you spend a long time reminiscing whilst stuck on a single page. I love a good memory story but you spend a little too much time on it imho. Maybe, to get the double page rather than struggle with single pages - go to http://www.zzap64.co.uk/zzap1/zzap1.html as there you can see the m...

Re: The Retro Games Magazine Show Episode 2 - Zzap! 64 Issue 1

I loved Zzap!64 and issue 1 is a classic... but I can't quite bring myself to sit through over an hour of reviewing it!

I did skip forward (a lot) and enjoyed what I stopped to watch though :)
