Re: RE: Free Subscription Incentives

Yeah, I've had to swear off dealing with Future directly at this point, as customer service is complete and utter ****! To my knowledge, there is no one actively in these forums that can help, as I guess Mark is no longer around. I had ordered a few bookazines from the site, only to never get a ship...

Re: Magazine Quality - Latest issue

My latest issue has not arrived yet, so I can't comment on the paper quality of that issue, but the quality was reduced ages ago, and I'm sure it was a cost saving measure. RG used to be one of the best mags around in regards to paper quality, but for a medium where physical is probably barely feasi...

Re: Tracking lateness

I live in Boston I got an e-mail saying my issue 185 is on the way on 9/4 still no sign of it. Yeah, I'm in Sin City and mine just arrived yesterday. Normally the east coast is my gauge for when mine might arrive, as you guys often get yours a few days before I get mine each time. So I was surprise...

Re: Bookazines or lack of.

I really do like the look of games to play- but not at US $27 like. So if it's still in stock when discounted, I'll pick it up. Just not sure why 2-3 of the new bookazines have that extra US$5 added I'll assume it has to do with page count, as the previous hardware handbook is 180 pages, and this n...

Re: Bookazines or lack of.

Ultimate Retro Hardware Guide sounds suspiciously like a rehash of the Videogames Hardware Handook editions...with a new shiny cover... anyone confirm? Yeah, I was wondering the same, and the best I can guess is it has some more recent consoles like the Switch. I can't remember in the original what...

Re: Font Size

Yeah, I've had problems with the color as well as the font size, but as so graciously stated, being retro means "old" for most, and eyes aren't what they sued to be. LOL Now the color issue, that's a different matter entirely, but I haven't notice any major issues recently, but in the past some page...

There have been quite a few articles on Neo Geo games the last few months, Shock Troopers, Samurai Shodown, and The Last Blade. Hoping for a Neo Geo bookazine :)
Sounds good to me, where do I sign up? LOL

Re: Subscriber Covers

Does anyone from the RG staff know if Mark is still around handling customer service issues? I messaged him earlier this week, and no reply, so I was wondering if he may be on holiday, or is the subscription representation in these forums gone again? He doesn't work at the company any more I'm afra...

Re: Best renewal offer for US subscribers?

Any updates on this? Right now (today) there is 24% off, and with a two year subscription that is almost as good as the old Imagine offer. Yeah, the old codes no longer work, and as you can see, no one in the know ever replied here so your pretty much left with the best deal you can find at the tim...

Re: Subscriber Covers

Yep. Messaged him some weeks ago. He is 'last seen' in the beginning of Aug. Hope it's vacation and not that he was fired for caring too much :? Well that sucks, as if he's been gone that long, I doubt it's a holiday. Yeah, my problem isn't really specific to Retro Gamer, but an order I placed on t...

Re: Tracking lateness

My #184 seems to have arrived yesterday, or the day before here in Sin City, USA! This was also my 1st issue of my renewed subscription, and it's about the most defect free issue I've received in ages. I hope this continues for the rest of the year, but I won't be holding my breath. LOL

Re: Subscriber Covers

Not sure a vote on mag cover will gibe with timelines for producing a monthly magazine... plus how much of a sample size will they get... not great. Let's offer our feedback here and let the mag production crew get on with the decisions for their magazine. The picture size could be as big or small ...

Re: Subscriber Covers

Damn, not a lot of love for the subscriber specific covers uh? LOL Yeah, I've only really liked 1 or 2 so far, with most being blah at best. Why don't the staff offer a vote on these subscriber options each month, as then at least we can have a say. Maybe offer up 3-5 unique covers, and then put th...
