Re: What are you currently playing?

Direct Command was most certainly added in FES and Persona 3 PSP. But AFAIK it wasn't in the original Persona 3 I played in 2007.

Megamixer wrote:I may be wrong but I think Saturn games that were unlockables on later games were the PC editions which were just ports of ports.
You're correct, MegaMixer.

Same with DC re-releases sadly... based on PC ports.

Langrisser and Saturn RPGS

The PSone is practically unmatched in its RPG library, but the Saturn had a few classics of its own, games like Shining Force, Oasis, Panzer Dragoon etc made their way outside of Japan. But much like SHMUPs, the Saturn has an impressive often overlooked library of import only RPGs. Grandia certainly...

Re: ps4 or xbox1?

Own an Xbox One. If you've never owned a 360 then a One might not be a bad idea, the backwards compatibility has been really good so far. But if you're strictly looking for new/current gen experiences then PS4 would be the one to get. The lineup of exclusives is a little more impressive, One had a g...

Re: What are you currently playing?

@MegaMixer: Between Persona 3 and Persona 4 I have to say 3 is a MUCH better game. Persona 4 has one of the slowest starts in any RPG and the setting and characters just didn't ooze the same charisma. I will say Kanji is the highlight of the whole experience, with his coming of age story being quite...

So this one time I was putting my size 8 shoe on and I couldnt quite get my foot in at all.

I though "ah must have left my woolen sock in there"

It wasn't a sock

Re: Yooka-Laylee [Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor]

I really like this game, the level design and progression is certainly a lot better than the N64 but the mechanics took a little getting used to. Yooka feels a little too light on his feet, while Banjo and even Conker felt a bit more grounded. There was a bit of jarring floatiness that took some get...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Launch day adopter here. I struggled a lot with joycon syncing but now it's virtually absent. At the moment I'm quite happy with the pace in which they are releasing games, I enjoy taking my time with some of these games so there's certainly a method to Nintendo's apparent madness! Bomberman R is so...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Really enjoying Persona 3 Portable while I wait for the PS3 version Persona 5 in the mail.

The PSP version of Persona 3 may come across as being stripped down, but honestly it isn't. I would say that's it's streamlined in a way that the experience actually flows a whole lot better.
