Never heard of Splam before.

When a Gameboy Color version of Cannon Fodder was released late in the machine's life I thought there'd be a chance of other Sensible games on GBA.

I would say the dude from Sacred Armour of Antiriad but someone's name brought that game to the front of my memory so I'll say Sir Arthur out of Ghosts & Goblins/Ghouls & Ghosts, or good old Rockford.

Ballblazer was fun for a little while but nothing special.

On topic: don't think the save points in the original Tomb Raider were too bad.

Being able to save whenever you want is too far in the other direction, making it too easy to take risk-free chances.
